In a social media post on the eve of the Lunar New Year on Saturday, Wu Zunyou, chief epidemiologist at the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, said the first nationwide wave had swept through roughly 80 percent of China's 1.41 billion people since early December.
Wu's estimate of 1.13 billion infections in just six weeks far exceeds the global case count of 669 million as of Wednesday, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University....
Airfinity, a British health analytics firm, said China was likely experiencing 4.55 million daily COVID infections and 35,780 daily deaths to the virus at the peak of the first wave....The company estimated that China had seen 919,000 cumulative COVID deaths since December 1, a figure that could eventually reach 1.7 million by the end of the current wave....

Why would you want a booster. They have failed.

Sorry, you are behind by three touchdowns and it is the 4th quarter, you can’t go back and say start he prediction game over. In mid 2021, vaxxer science said said take the full Covid series and you won’t get Covid; lyin’Joe Biden said it as often and as nastily as he could, the mandates were based on that “fact”( as well as the nasty corollary that the unvaxxed were killing the vaxxed- a total non -sequitur and everybody knew it though some lied about it). The anti-vaxx science said, don’t vaccinate during a pandemic, you will promote development of variants, and the vaccines will have no immunity against them. The numbers are on the scoreboard, that’s why booster acceptance is very poor, even with all the promotion that advertising can bring to bear.
I think you might have been misinterpreting my post.
I meant the people scared of the vaccine are comforting themselves by saying the bad side effects of the vaccine don’t occur for . . . longer and longer periods of time. This way the anti-vaxers can still try to remain credible.
I understood your post—and my point is that I was anti-vax before most of the folks here—because of long term effects that could not be measured.
That was my position pre-Covid and that is my position today.

I was pointing out that somewhat firm dates for undesirable side effects of the vaccine were provided from the beginning, and then it was months away, and then years, and the time period kept growing.
That is making up facts and presenting them as science, just as is being done with the anecdotal reports of sudden deaths “from the vaccine.”
Except, in some respects, they are not sudden.
They are in that people are dropping dead on the spot, without a lingering illness or any warning, but they are not as people who were warning about the death rates from the vax were saying that it would be some time before the death rate started to pick up, like months to years.
So in that, they were right.
Ironically, the longer the delay for the deaths from the vax show up, the more likely the shot shills will use that to dissociate the deaths from the vax.
With all due respect, you seem to have missed my point.
There is no scientific proof for any of this. There is no science.
So things like comparing time gaps between things does not have any relevance.
To say the longer the time gap the less evidence one side has against the other—or even vice versa—has no meaning whatsoever. Not scientifically, not in terms of probability, nothing.
I think when the public schools gave way to private “schools” in the South, we basically lost our concept of scientific truth.

So I guess that smoking cigarettes and COPD and lung cancer cannot be shown to be correlated because of the time lag between he smoking and the disease.......
There is statistical and physical proof with the diseases you mention. People who have smoked for decades get these problems, which can be physically seen in the lungs. This is not the same as attributing death to one vaccination for political reasons.
my not trusting our federal government to protect me and my health doesn’t make me an “anti-vaxxer”...
the experimental shots don’t work as originally advertised...
