Right, wrong, or indifferent, this guy
resisted arrest even though he may have
been innocent. Such resistance will
be met with what ever force required
to neutralize the situation by the cops.
I’m certainly not condoning the police
efforts to bring this citation under
control.
Being a cop is a thankless job,
especially during present political
atnosphere.
This guy’s name came up on the police
computers for a reason. He broke the law.
He wasn’t some poor dude just
driving down the street, minding
his own business.
You are right. LE should absolutely have the right to judge, try, and execute on the spot as needed...
He must have been pretty law abiding…he worked as a FedEx driver, so I doubt that he even had a lot of traffic tickets. And at no point did they ever think he was armed.
He seems to have been a fairly harmless guy, and was actually a skateboarder and spent a lot of his free time on it. I think he simply wasn’t used to police contact and panicked.
Also, I think they were just government-empowered bullies and saw him as weak and an easy target. They wanted to “teach him a lesson” about their power and importance.
There is also the issue of general police and EMS incompetence that the City of Memphis should be looking at.
Bull crap. You are sick.
Wow. You give tyrants an excuse to brutally murder. Will you feel the same way if they come after you or yours?
During Covid and the Floyd riots, the police did nothing to earn our respect or loyalty.
Yes it says right in the police manual that trying to run from a traffic stop gives police the authority to beat you to death on the street. 🙄
