TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A police K-9 in Michigan recently had himself a “ruff” day after he was accused of stealing his owner’s lunch.
The Wyandotte Police Department shared a mugshot of K-9 Ice, who was accused of eating an officer’s half-eaten lunch in the breakroom during a call to assist with an emergency.
When the officer returned to the breakroom, they found Ice “leisurely strolling out of the room licking his chops,” the department said in a social media post....
...“Dozens of attorneys have offered to defend Ofc. Ice ‘pro-bone-o!'” the department said. “Plus the overall public just doesn’t believe he is guilty. No video has been produced.”....

The dog ate my report...
If he’s 5’8 while sitting, that’s a big dog.
I think anybody would immediately surrender if they had to face a dog the size of a football tackle.
Well, there's a conspiracy theory that the government has bred bipedal dogmen to take out insurgents. Maybe there's a civilian police model as well.
Another cat burgler caught in the act!
Great story, thanks

LOL

Why is a single policeman referred to using the plural pronoun “they” instead of the singular “he”?
According to the mugshot, the dog is 6’2”. A dog that big is going to need lots of food.
Did I do that? How cute. Nice to keep people informed about the important jobs these police dogs do for treats, their handler, or their handler’s lunch.
The cat did it.
It’s always the cat..
That dog should work in Counter-Intelligence.
It’s the new LGBTQXYZ language. You can’t say “he” anymore. It’s all over the place, the media is now switching pronouns at random, he she, it, they, them, all in the same sentence. Not only are they deconstructing the U.S., they are deconstructing the English language. This is genocide of the White race on steroids.
Cuz peoples is stoopid.
The problem is that *they* and *them* are plural, not singular.
If they really wanted to be grammatically correct in referring to a single person in a gender neutral way, they need to use *it*.
I dare them.
“Why is a single policeman referred to using the plural pronoun “they” instead of the singular ‘he’?”
Because grammar isn’t being taught any more. Worrying about “agreement” is useless and will make you crazy. People are idiots; get used to it.
Guilty
It’s a cute story but I thought working dogs like this were trained to resist random food due to safety.
When I was but a young lad, my dad owned a glass company in Detroit. In the early 70’s, the shop was often robbed at night, so they bought a highly trained dog named Pal. I have no idea what they paid for the dog but I do remember them spending $400 (In 1972) for leather booties so the dog wouldn’t cut his feet on broken glass.
One night some knuckledraggers broke in and tossed Pal a steak laced with a sedative, which Pal quickly chomped down and took a nap long enough for them to clean the place out.
Years later, I was at a mall sitting on a bench watching my kids at the playscape. Next to me was a guy with a Leader Dog for the Blind wearing a Training vest. The dog was lying on the carpet. There was an open Tootsie Roll a couple inches from the dogs snout. I commented on how well trained the dog was to not eat the candy. The handler told me that they hadn’t gotten to that part of the training yet and he didn’t know the candy was on the floor.
My wife didn’t know what “K-9” meant. She saw it on a cop car and asked me why that was on a lot of cop cars. < /facepalm >
“When the officer returned to the breakroom, they found Ice “leisurely strolling out of the room licking his chops,”
circumstantial evidence at best ...
