It all depends on the definition of mass shootings. According to this link it’s defined as four shooting victims by one perp.
This could apply to Chicago on a good day. In fact several democrat run, GUN FREE zones.

How many were in Blue America and how many were in Red America? Keeping in mind that a “gun-free” school or business in a red state is still Blue America.

The first major mass shootings I can remember were at McDonalds (1984) and Luby’s (1991).
We have a seemingly growing problem with them since the 1990s. The media over-covers them, and thereby encourages more.
The problem began when they closed down the mental institutions in the 1970s and turned the crazies out on the streets. Now a new generation of crazies are running amok killing people.
