Seeing the available picture and videos, he sure is doing his level best...as are the people around him...to hide or conceal his face (primarily, from the nose down).

Furthermore, if he's well enough to go to a football game and stand up and wave his arms around cheering on the crowd, he's well enough for a simple, quick "interview" by one of the sports reporters. Yet, nothing.
