To Save America, Repeal the 19th Amendment
The Pipeline ^ | Jan 23, 2023 | Michael Walsh

With Jacinda Ardern's welcome exit from the ranks of world political leaders, leaving a shambles of constitutional freedom and human rights in her wake, now is perhaps an opportune time to reconsider the passage of the 19th amendment in American politics as part of our ongoing series of "To Save America" modest proposals advocating repeal of the most destructive tamperings with the original Constitution. We've already made the arguments for the repeal of the 16th, 17th, 18th (done!), and 26th amendments, so now it's time for the women's suffrage movement to take its turn in the barrel.

Oops.

Start with this: there is no intrinsic, enumerated right to vote in the Constitution; eligibility was left up to each state. Voting therefore is neither a civil right nor a God-given natural right (as history clearly shows), but an earned privilege to be granted under certain circumstances or after an individual had satisfied various specified criteria such as attaining the age of his majority, being a male, a property owner, etc.

This was an outgrowth of the original conception of the United States as a voluntary alliance of hitherto sovereign states, each of which ceded some portion of its autonomy to the new federal government, but which reserved all other rights to itself. Indeed, the Tenth amendment makes this explicit: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people." In other words, the federal government did not create the states, they created the federal government.

To be fair, this is somewhat tongue-in-cheek, but the voting demographic is crystal clear.

Without the AWFLs (affluent white female liberals) and under 30 single women, there would be permanent conservative majorities (not necessarily the current Republican leadership tho).

This isn’t a new observation, but it’s worth understanding when we’re trying to understand how these close races keep staying in the “stealable” zone.

1 vote PER FAMILY should be the rule!

No kids? No vote. No spouse? No vote.

Start by removing the 17th amendment

I have mentioned this quite often and get the same reply you have brought.

I also mentioned that maybe it’d be best if we allowed only those who own property (land) the right to vote.

I have been saying this for a long time, and my Wife agrees with me!

But what is a woman anyway nowadays? can it be defined?

Why are women fair game but not Catholics, Jews, blacks, etc, who are also known to by and large vote liberal?

Well, the author does address that in the linked piece, thus:

The Greeks and the Romans had a quaint notion that only productive male citizens, especially those who put their lives, honor, and sacred fortunes on the line for their city, nation-state or empire (and who bought their own weapons and armor) could earn the right to vote. While this strikes us as both "sexist" and "racist" today, such considerations were unthought of; and while slaves could win the vote via manumission, women were never considered worthy of the vote. They were too emotional, too devious in their machinations, and certainly too weak to fight: in other words, too "unmanly," which is definitionally correct.

But leaving aside that argument, the simple math is that without the AWFLs and under 30 single females, even with ostensbily "liberal" men in the demographic categories you mention there simply wouldn't be a market for the worst of the liberal agenda that currently plagues us.

I see a sense of creeping fraud denial.

Not sure what you mean here.

Is there an implication that no women voted for Nixon, Reagan or Trump?

That is clearly untrue and you very well know that. The topic is what the majority of women do.

From my own recollection, single women invariably vote Democrat. Married women tend to vote Republican.

It is also my recollection that various articles I have read demonstrate that the women's vote has actually given us the creeps/idiots I mentioned in my earlier comment.

You’ll never get the genie back in the bottle

Perhaps not.

It's still a good idea. Universal suffrage is a disaster; the past century has proven it so. People with no skin in the game must not be permitted decision making power.

How about a logic test? Only allow logical citizens (male and female) to vote.

FWIW, most Pennsylvania localities STILL have poll taxes, most commonly called a “per capita” tax. They just can’t be tied to the voter franchise.

"Poll Taxes" is a misdirection. The amendment was passed on the basis of people thinking it only dealt with "poll taxes" which they had been told was racist and was keeping black people from voting.

The last three words of the 24th amendment extends it to any form of taxation. Prior to the 24th amendment, you could not vote unless you paid taxes. This acted as a brake on government spending because *ONLY* taxpayers could vote.

With non taxpayers voting, you have a demographic you can bribe with government money, and they don't care how much the government spends. In fact they *WANT* the government to spend as much on them as possible.

And that's how we got the "Great Society" and the "War on Poverty."

That's what opened up the floodgates of reckless spending.

Because you could bribe voters into voting for you, you could create a near insurmountable majority, and that's what happened.

I’ve been registered to vote since 1978.

The only thing I’ve gotten in return is jury duty.

The solution is that every household votes as one, and each house counts for as many votes as there are members in the household, including manor children.

The fact is married families with children vote the most conservative, but their votes are diluted because they are voting for the interest of the whole family.

There is only so much inertia/energy patriots can muster. If we spend our time chasing fantasies, we get nowhere except circling the toilet. In military terms, it’s called Economy of Force.

RED, WHITE, and BLUEPRINT should be the only path with the singular mission statement for every patriot in every county.

In fact, FR should make it a mission to advocate, shifting gears from FReeping polls. But I digress.

I think it'd be wrong to deny women the right to vote.

Just make a mandatory requirement for voting be that you can back a car into a parking spot. LOL
