It's not the "cult of greed", it the cult of authoritarianism.
The primary purpose of the police in this society is to (1) protect the government, and assert the government demands by any means necessary, and (2) protect the corporate system.
May you not meet them and get beaten or killed because they felt "threatened".
And yes, cops do arrest five year olds. And often behave like five year old.
And so the politeness police were called in.
Yep, I have zero problems with cops punching her or anyone if they are resisting arrest. The Zero Cops people don’t want tasers, choke holds, punching or rubber bullets used. No tear gas for rioters either. What they leave is lead, and death. Now who is responsible for that?
I know, hire more social workers to respond to crime. That is EXACTLY what these lunatics want.
Except she can return because she needs to finish her part of the trespass complaint. In short, if you can just leave the scene of a trespass complaint, without giving ID, the criminal trespass law is effectively null and void.
Except she refused to give her ID or identify herself. The card she used to buy food, was not even in her name. She caused the entire thing, and if she was beaten she only has herself to blame. SHOW YOUR ID and get out of there beotch.

Except in or to be “trespassed” legally unable to visit that business, the first contact you need the persons ID. It is part 1 in the process, which I am sure the beotch knew. Which is why she fought so hard against it. I would bet she has been trespassed out of MANY places.

I wasn’t talking about the police. I understand their egotistical authoritarianism hangups. I was talking about the “Private Business Rights” cult. There is a HUGE following of this cult here. A business can do absolutely no wrong in any and all circumstances no matter what they are. The customer is ALWAYS WRONG and the business is ALWAYS RIGHT.
This cult will defend a business even if the business is committing very real codified crimes like fraud. This cult will defend a business no matter how immoral or greedy the business is. They always hold the dollar more valuable than any all legal and moral standards. So if you ever wonder why a particular defense of business becomes radical, extreme, and irrational around here this is why. It is that cult of greed over morality.
The law in Ohio and most everywhere else is that trespass does not occur if you have been asked to leave and you leave.
Trespass only occurs if you’ve been asked to leave and then you leave only to return.
In this case the woman was complying with the request to leave when the officer arrived. Meaning that under the Ohio law (which I cited in an earlier post) no crime had occurred. The officer then did not have a justification for demanding ID.
Where his own department has put him on unpaid leave for this situation I’d say that his department is reading the law correctly.

you are only partially right. They have to explain to you as they are doing it that you are being detained and why. Typically, this is the charged and arrested part. They can detain you without arresting you but they have a small time window to charge you and make it an official arrest. They cannot detain you because you refuse to show them ID. If they cannot or will not say you are being detained and why then they cannot require identification. At least in Ohio. Other states may have other laws, but read up on Habeus Corpus, miranda rights, etc. Interesting stuff.
