Poland was on the EU’s s-list, right next to Hungary, as they wouldn’t allow ‘migrants’ from the Third World to displace their population of Poles. Recently, due to Ukraine, Poland has been a useful bitch for the Neocons, so no talk of them being ‘punished’, like Hungary. But after Ukraine loses, then Poland will again be treated as a Black Sheep of the EU, with it’s VERY WEIRD idea that Poland belongs to the people who have lived there for 1000 years, rather than the mostly fighting-aged men from Africa who are intent on re-populating the country.

Well, that's a change of heart, because my Ukrainian grandmother did not have that attitude. My dad was Ukrainian and my mom was Polish and it did not make for warm fuzzies between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law.
It was primarily my grandmother, though. My mom had nothing against Ukrainians nor do I recall her Polish family. But my grandmother was from the old country.
You’re in for a tough row to hoe when your nation sits astride a natural invasion route and has essentially no significant natural defensive boundaries/lines.
The aforementioned “Wolyn” movie involved a mixed-marriage couple, she was Polish and he was Ukrainian.
I thought “Come and See” was a brutal movie, this easily topped it.
I wonder how many Polish “volunteer” soldiers have already been killed and not reported? A Polish General was quoted as saying the other day that maybe they needed to round up some of the Ukrainian refugees in the West and send them to fight, as if he resented sending Poles to do their fighting for them.
And what’s going to happen if the US asks Poland to join their coalition along with the UK to enter Ukraine and confront Russia? Will the Polish public go along with it? Doesn’t sound like it from what this guy is saying.

The last country bitching at Poland for not accepting migrants was Russia, when it piloted in thousands of Muslims from the middle east to the Belarus border and tried to force march them into Poland.

The journalist in the video says they support the Ukrainian people. He discusses how the Polish people don’t want a continuation/escalation in the war.

That has been a problem for decades.
My grandfather came here because the Poles were conscripting Ukrainian young men to put them on the front lines in their wars, and take the losses instead of the Poles doing it. Then when the fighting was over, the Polish army would come in and mop up what was left of the enemy.
The Ukrainians who were conscripted were basically cannon fodder and he had no interest in dying for the Poles he hated.
There are many older Poles who intensely dislike Ukrainians.
No thanks to the folks who after WWI carved up the old Austria-Hungarian Empire without regard to ethnicities in the new countries.
So true. You know what else a lot of Americans fail to understand? Around that same time Ukrainians were teaming up with the German Nazis to ethnically cleanse Ukraine of Jews and Russians. It is within the living memory of those people in the Donbas today. They suffered mightily from that alliance. And much of that history goes to the heart of what is going on in Eastern Ukraine now.
Wow I had no idea, I can’t imagine being conscripted against your will and made to fight as cannon fodder against the other side. I’d get the here out of there myself if that was the situation.

My grandfather was an immigrant who came to America from what is now Slovakia before WW 1. He was one of many Czechs and Slovaks recruited from my area to fight for the French for the promise of a homeland for both after the war. He went back to Europe and fought the last year of the war on the front with the Czechoslovak “Legion” And the French kept their word. While the boundaries sometimes seem nonsensical, there are ‘reasons’.
