Many Bank of America customers posted on social media Wednesday that they were experiencing major problems with the digital payment app Zelle.
Individuals took to Twitter to share messages received from Bank of America that claimed they had negative account balances. Others stated they were having difficulty getting through to the bank's customer service department.
Twitter user Jeepeto Cuarenton shared an image indicating his account balance was $-2,060.44.

I can’t wait for a global, centralized digital currency.
Zelle has had problems for some time. Seen reports that phishing attacks are rampant.
Not a user of either. Though I frequently get emails trying to fish my non-existent BOA account.
Brought to us by the same folks who keep turning off power to US and Canadian cities?
Then we won’t have any worries about our money right? LOL! How in the hell do BOA and Wells cargo have any customers? Oh, duh! 80 million votes........... Never mind.
These banks are as secure as Biden’s garage.
The Powers That Be are getting d@mn serious about their, ‘You’ll have NOTHING and LIKE IT!’ program!
I use a credit union. Not saying the same couldn’t happen, but they are local and not nation-wide, so that may be of some comfort. :(
81…
The problem looks to be with Zelle, more that anything.
“than anything”
Wait until ‘24—— Probably 100 mill.............
Eleventy bajillion…
BA has offered Zelle for several years, but with minimal promotion before.
I almost signed up a couple weeks ago because Zelle seems like a safe and convenient peer to peer payment system.
Whoops!
Dodged that bullet!
My primary personal bank (USAA) participates in the Zelle network for those who want it. Haven’t heard of any problems there.
Just a preview of the future when all money is electronic and the government (of course) has total control over it (like trudeau did to the truckers). They will take what they (expletive replaced) want.
Wonder if that still works?
There are a lot of “Zelle” scams out there—could be the issue in the article:

bank deposits are insured by the government for up to $250,000
Wow. I’ve implemented credit card billing apps that ended up doing tens of million$ in charges annually and there is no way I’d link my personal bank account to ANY of those money transfer/payment apps.
Always do it with an intermediary stop like a charge card or an account that requires verification of charges.
