Bill Maher Says Howard Stern Won’t ‘Ever Leave the House’ Due to Germaphobia

“Real Time” host Bill Maher questioned whether he would ever get a chance to hang out with Howard Stern in the post-pandemic era during a frank discussion about the legendary shock jock’s germaphobia.
Maher discussed his mercurial relationship with Stern – and their differing approaches to the COVID-19 pandemic – during a conversation with comedian Kevin Nealon on an episode of his “Club Random” podcast this month. The HBO star said he’s unsure whether Stern will “ever leave the house” due to his well-documented fear of being exposed to the virus.
“I have a long, storied history, ups and downs with that man, and I find it so sad these days that I can’t see him because of the pandemic. We don’t agree on that,” Maher said. “Not that I think it has made us not like each other.”

I don’t think he could serve in any service. His father, I think, served stateside during World War II/

I was at a big event last weekend. There was a 20-something photog wearing a black (stylish?) KN95, the only one in sight wearing one, at what was basically an outdoor event (covered, but screens on 3 sides). Average age of the crowd was probably 55 or 60.
Some people are permanently traumatized and propagandized by the whole event.

Now there’s something I never thought of when it comes to Stern. His wife is either a saint or a masochist. I wouldn’t put up with that kind if shit for a minute. I don’t care how rich you are.

Making money can get a lot easier if there’s nothing you wouldn’t stoop to doing to get it.

Neither would I....in fact he's so ugly even on a good day I would never give him a second look...

It’s stuff like that which makes me pity atheists. People who look forward to heaven do not need to create their own hell on earth.

Stern is a complete nut job when it comes to covid hysteria.
He’s also a nut job when it comes to promoting pervert radio programming.
Stern is a joke.

Stern was funny about 20 years ago. I’ve long since lost interest in the depravity schtick.

Lol! The Howard Stern of the 1970s would ridicule the HS of today mercilessly.

Stern has devolved from an interesting, funny middle-aged man into a neurotic, unfunny old woman. It's too bad - some of the bits in the old days of Billy West and the Jackie Puppet to the early Artie Lange days were absolutely hilarious and took some genuine courage.
There's none of that anymore - the news that Stern is too afraid to leave his New York apartment is not surprising and is of a piece with facts that he's addicted to psychotherapy, that he's religiously left-wing, that he's basically turned into a taller Woody Allen - it's all predictable and boring, just as he is. I stopped listening around 15 years ago.
