The “Tiger King” star’s ex-husband, Don Lewis, has been found alive in Costa Rica, but the discovery is just now going viral — over a year later.
During a November 2021 interview with ITV’s “This Morning” talk show, Baskin, 61, revealed that her ex, who was declared legally dead in 2002 after disappearing a few years before, is actually alive and well.
The Big Cat Rescue owner alleged that the Department of Homeland Security has been in touch with her former lover. “One of the really exciting things that came out of ‘Tiger King 2’ is that they produced a letter from Homeland Security and it says that a special agent in charge with the FBI at Homeland Security reached out to the sheriff’s detective George [Jorge] Fernandez, which means this had to have happened after 2002, because Homeland Security wasn’t even around until 2002,” Baskin told the outlet at the time.

I guess she didn’t smear him with bacon grease and throw him in the pit after all.
He is in Costa Rica with Anna Walshe. //sarc
That b***** Carole Baskin
Nope. She IS dead. And they may never find her body.
I know…I was joking. But listening to the husbands google history was chilling.
I think the first thing I would search is, “how to get rid of my google history.”
So Joe Exotic did all that for nothing.
“is actually alive and well”
Sounds like they are just taking Carole’s word for this. I don’t think that is necessarily advisable.
‘I think the first thing I would search is, “how to get rid of my google history.”’
Fact is, you can’t. You can erase the history on your end, that is stored on your computer. But you can’t erase the records on google’s end of what search requests came from your IP address.
So if you want to search for something that you don’t want traced back to you, do it from a public computer like at the library. Or at least borrow the phone of someone you don’t like and use that.
I never saw the show. I thought it said he was gay?
Nope. Apparently the show runners decided to ask DHS. And then they got a letter saying that yes, we know where he is and that he is alive.
Carole found it out from watching the show.
There was a story on this at least a year ago.
All morning, as we watched this guy live, my wife kept saying, “ Really…just divorce me. You get half. No need to saw me apart.”
It’s a good thing criminals are stupid.
“And then they got a letter saying that yes, we know where he is and that he is alive.”
So why is she talking about a letter from 2002? The show runners obviously did not ask in 2002...
Well, I heard she whacked him dead.😅
Did not watch the show but when I read some of the comments on FR I decided to look into what was going on. I am naturally suspicious of "reality" shows because they are notorious for ginning up a bunch of hooey just to get people to watch. So I did a bit of research, maybe about an hour's worth and got the impression that the "Carole murdered her husband" narrative was a big ol pile of Biden.
Even said so on one of the threads. And was told indignantly that I did not know what I was talking about that she for sure was a cold blooded murderess. I did not give a hoot one way or another so I just shrugged and walked away. Which was why I remember the story from last year because I found it so very funny.
Many people think they are the second coming of Miss Marple.
Probably not.
Her question is, why they did not notify her as next of kin.
Even at the library these days, you have to log into your card account to use the computer. They still know everything you do online.
