Pope Francis warned Jesus Christ followers not to convince someone to become a Christian, insisting it is a “pagan” activity.

“To evangelize is not to proselytize,” the Pope told crowds gathered in the Vatican for his weekly general audience.

Its not only a weird thing to say both Christians and atheists would agree its historically wrong. proselytization wasn’t really a thing in many parts of the world till christianity came along.

So the Chritians in AD-60-325 never “proselytized”?? Or is the current pope merely channeling Roman emperors of AD60-325?

And, if one were to believe Francis, we have to guess Christians did not “proselytize” throughout non-Christian Europe after AD325? nor did they “proselytize” in the “new world” or Asia???? What myths or lies is Francis projecting???

I will admit that forced conversions are not supported by Christian scripture, but that is a different than mere “proselytizing”.

I'm no biblical scholar, but it is my belief that any 'pope'
who says that, is a pagan 'pope' who is working for the wrong side.

Imagine it does say in Scripture, that Jesus says “don’t go out and reap the harvest” my paraphrasing. Instead of Christ says, it is blasphemy to convert people to the faith of Christianity.
