Given this is being published now - I have no doubt that this has been used by agencies/military in the past already for some time...reminds me of being able to ‘hear’ a conversation in a room by shining a laser on a window and converting the vibrations.

some will undoubtedly be concerned about the new threat of their Wi-Fi router spying on them.

I do not have a wifi router or modem like Comcast in the house - we just use the smart phones Hot-Spot feature to connect.

Since smartphones are already “spying” this wifi thing rates a big Who Cares for me!! But its probably more sinister than we yet perceive.

Interestingly that story appears to verify the concept of the cellular network being used in its wide coverage as a stealth aircraft detection and tracking facility. I’d read in the past that aircraft leave a “wake” in cell tower transmissions, which essentially leave an ocean of constant radio frequency emanations over most of the country. This seems to indicate that the technology has/is matured quickly.
