Yes. I don’t see Brady as a commentator. He just doesn’t seem to have that verve, or excitement that Tony Romo has.

You can name the great color commentators on one hand. Dan Fouts was horrible. I think they tried Booger McFarland and he was horrible. I always liked Bob Trumpy, but for some reason NBC didn’t and dropped him not long after the Cowboys/Bills super bowl.
Watching a teammate being taken off the field on a stretcher/board (especially in the last few minutes of a blow-out loss), at his age and with nothing else to prove in professional football, Brady should seriously consider retiring while he’s healthy.

This is the first I’ve heard of the done deal with FOX. That does shed a whole new light on his situation. He is so darn mellow that I can’t picture him announcing.
