How many will we be able to legally kill????
Governments don’t care about the drug problems in this country. If they did, they would do something about it.
Reminds me of the methadone clinics of the seventies. Get them hooked on yet another addictive drug. Only in this case, the government is the only dealer in town.
It’s the taxpayers who are kept in a state of bondage. This is another area government has no business being in.
The law’s primary intent was to enable its supporters to express their counter culture leftism. Whether it helps drug addicts or not was beside the point.
Give all the drugs they want and eventually they will kill themselves and the problem goes away. The government wants to kill them.
1994 I moved to San Francisco, stayed in a single occupant hotel for a couple of months a 10x10 room in North Beach for $500 a month until I found an apt. Neighbor was a guy from the midwest, we got to be buddies because he had a tv and liked football. He was a junkie but then on methadone for 5 years provided by the city. Section 8 housing which ment free hotel and $500 a month. He said he had a great life. Saw him 5 years later, no teeth, he had no idea who I was.
“Providing drug users with syringes and pipes for public health purposes keeps addicts “in a state of bondage,”
The irony is strong here.
ANYTHING that you want more of, subsidize and you’ll get it. Junkies, homeless, or illegal immigrants. If you give it away, they will come and use them services forever or until they die or the services stop.
what were liberals thinking?
No , it’s Liberal Ideal World
liberals thinking?
That’s a oxymoron
Yep. Proof that leftists are the ones that truly hate their fellow man. Every single program they envision and execute results in people becoming dependent on government and giving up their freedoms in order to keep those “benefits”. Coming in. They rob a human of their dignity.
If we truly love our fellow men, we would cease almost every single so-called benefit program out there.
People are meant to work and struggle to eventually find peace. Not be handed everything.
