Los Angeles Police Department bans Thin Blue Line flag because it now allegedly symbolizes 'undemocratic, racist, and bigoted views'

The Los Angeles Police Department banned the Thin Blue Line flag because it now allegedly symbolizes "undemocratic, racist, and bigoted views" held by extremist groups.

The Thin Blue Line symbol is a pro-police emblem that is said to represent the thin line between order and lawlessness in society that is maintained by law enforcement who wear blue uniforms.

LAPD Chief Michel Moore sent an email to department personnel on Friday announcing that the department was banning the Thin Blue Line symbol. The LAPD has barred the Thin Blue Line symbol from being displayed in public areas of police property.

Liberals despise the police, and now they just can't hide it anymore. Even if they're liberals cops.

Well, if you can separate support for the police from circle-the-wagons knee-jerk defense of the police, then fine, keep the flag. But I think a few bad apples tends to spoil things.

Okay. Police and decent citizens on one side of the line and the degenerate, drug using, lazy, deviant criminal populace on the other.

Los Angeles has the right idea for the wrong reason. If you allow the ‘Thin Blue Line’ flag, then why not also some other version of the US flag? Why not a flag with a yellow stripe or one with a green stripe, etc.? Such flags exist.

The US flag is one of the few things that still hold this country together. Leave it alone. Don’t modify it for any cause, as good as that cause might be.

I have to agree. It’s not acceptable to deface or otherwise disrespect the flag, even from the most patriotic motives.

“Liberals despise the police,”

But they don’t despise their armed security e.g.: Cori Bush will pay $200K for private security

I thought they were going to de-fund the police and replace them with squads of social workers. Haven’t heard anything about the progress of that plan.

Too bad, I’ll still wear my blue line flag t-shirt in crowds this summer.

“The US flag is one of the few things that still hold this country together. Leave it alone.”

Cultural “enrichment” has destroyed that notion. 35 years ago it might have been true in some type of form. After 9/11 there was a rebound for about a week. Bush then went back to cuck mode with illegal immigration and strong degree of force with the central State especially pertaining to Homeland Security/The Orwellian Patriot Act bull feces. Then started a “war” that replaced the Taliban with the Taliban and toppled a country that caused a schism in the ME that allowed a radical faction taking over (Still to this day).

What I am saying, any notion of what good the US has ever had is about over. We can”t even define correctly, mind you, what a women is in today's culture without getting doxxed or reprimanded by corporate overlords. Stick a fork in liberty, our minds/freedom belong to the Federal and corporate masters.

Sadly, I must agree with you. I fear that we are in an unstoppable decline. I had some hope Trump would reverse this. But it was not meant to be.

My old tagline on Free Republic was: “Why am I holding this lantern? I am looking for the next Reagan.”

Maybe I’ll go back to that one.
