I met an actual Nazi. He’s a nice old man. It told him one of my father’s WWII stories. He listened impassively, then he surprised me. He puffed out his chest and told me “When I was 17, I volunteered for Hitler’s army.”
Subsequently, I stayed away from topics that would obviously be painful, for example, the Holocaust. I did mention Reagan’s successful deregulation of airlines. He would have none of it.
It seems to me that this unrepentant Nazi has complete trust in regulation and in government. I’ve talked to a variety of Americans who likewise have complete trust in government regulation, and in government generally. I think their simple theory is that Government is there to good. Likewise, the press can be relied upon.
My Marxist sister told me that the AMA closed down female alternative medical care practices. I wasn’t especially surprised. In retrospect I should have pointed out that it was the Government that shut down those practices. She probably would brush that off as some sort of technicality of no real consequence.

With only 30 percent of Americans vaccinated, those vaccines have done quite a bit of mischief. We need to take this situation with an open mind and carefully examine all possibilities. Otherwise, it is “The cat ate the cookies!”
