A local woman is sharing the story of her friend, who died suddenly from cardiac arrest Sunday; one of several who has suffered the same fate in Las Vegas this past week.
Michele Morgan told 8 News Now her friend and employee of 30 years, Alicia Groeblinghoff, went into cardiac arrest at the gym and died one day later.
“She had a contagious smile,” Morgan said of her friend. “And made everybody so happy around her.”
Morgan shared everything she’ll miss just days after Groeblinghoff’s untimely death.
“She was an amazing human being,” she added. “A humanitarian.”
Morgan said Groeblinghoff, who was a wife and mother of two, had no history of heart issues at the time of her death, which has left her family shocked and confused.
“Super healthy, and suddenly, without warning just collapsed at the gym,” Morgan said. “And suffered a massive cardiac arrest.”
Cardiologist Dr. Alfred Danielian told 8 News Now no matter your age or health, it’s important to get your heart checked for things like congenital defects, coronary artery disease, electrical problems, or issues related to COVID-19, including myocarditis.
“We did see incidents, it was a little higher than the vaccine,” Dr. Danielian said of the infection. “But again, this was self-limited.”
Morgan told 8 News Now she is still in shock that this could happen to someone with so much life ahead of them, and she hopes Groeblinghoff’s story can live on for those who loved her.
“We never think that we are going to leave work on Friday and not come back on Monday,” Morgan said. “She was a beautiful human being, and this should not have happened.”
Morgan said Groeblinghoff’s family does not know what caused Alicia’s cardiac arrest.
She has set up a GoFundMe to help her family with medical and funeral expenses.
So sad to see all these stories, but thank all of you for posting them and making more of us aware of the greatest crime ever committed.

Autopsies (honest and objective) would clear a lot of this up, for both sides.
Pig doctor saying it could be covid and not vaxx. Easily disproved as the unvaxxed have immunity to dying suddenly. The reason they are desperate to eliminate the control group.
Probably because of the plethora ot stories of cases like thins since the vax was rolled out.
Especially in light of the warnings we received early on from well known and well credentialed medical personnel who are experts in their respective fields.
I’ve been watching my scanner page on FB for events of this nature. I live in a small community of about 10K. In the last 24 hours they’ve gone out on one call for ‘a minor who has stopped breathing’ that child was taken to ER code 3 (sirens and lights). Right now they are at the local HS for a ‘student that collapsed’ still no follow up on that one. It makes me wonder, just how much of this is going on out in our local communities? Is this really normal? I don’t remember any students ‘collapsing’ when I went to that same HS.

Heart attacks and Cardiac Arrest are different. Cardiac arrest is immediate. While heart attack can lead to cardiac arrest but doesn’t always happen. Cardiac arrest is 70-90% fatal if not like right beside an ambulance or on a nationally televised Monday night football field. CA is a symptom of something super seriously wrong with your heart & body’s electronics
