I’m deliverables based. I can work 1 hour or 50 hours depending on my workload. As long as people are meeting the expectations set for them, and can make all required meetings, I don’t have an issue with time. This is specific for salaried employees.

I almost mentioned that case. It’s still iffy: the code provided doesn’t belong to the employee but to the employer. If it’s up to snuff and the employer agreed to pay what they pay in salary for it, it’s still not clear to me that there is fraud of the employer. The interesting thing is whether the guy farming out work deducted the pay to the Chinese as an unreimbursed employment expense. LOL

A “mouse jiggler” on Amazon makes “the cursor travels randomly around the screen—for hours, if needed!”

Perfect for government employees. Nobody would be able to tell that you’re not at your desk.

Some of us know what it takes to actually be good at a hard job. It is not Latte or breakfast breaks or refreshment stands or even exercise facilities. These people are robbing us of the money we pay them through the purchase of over priced technology products and services.

Makes me want to drop out.

AutoMouseMover.exe does the job, and does not even have to be installed. However, there are two types of detection:

1) Checking for mouse movement, the absence of which will lead to a computer going to sleep

3) Checking for keystrokes and clicks. The above vendor has tools that will perform this tasks, but it needs to be installed, which is blocked on most machines these days.

Don’t ask me how I know this!

Perhaps we could replace the mice with politicians.

“I’ve read stories about enterprising folks able to collect salaries simultaneously from multiple full time jobs while “working from home”.

I personally know someone who has done this very thing with 4 jobs! All required work is completed. There is no mouse jiggler here. One “job” just needs warm bodies and there is no work beyond logging in. That one is temporary, but the other three are solid, full-time gigs. This person I know made around $400k last year. From home.

I bet Mayor Pete has been using these methods for appearing to be busy for years.

Personally, wrote a simple .NET automation block to “press” the [Ctrl] key at some random (between 30 secs and 6 mins) interval. Works great.

I’ve used mouse jiggler for years. It prevents the display from timing out and the need to relog in. Works great. It’s free.

Strapping the step counter on your dog was popular.
