An 18-year-old woman died unexpectedly during a basketball game Thursday in The Bahamas.
The teen had not complained about her health or feeling poorly prior to her collapse, local police told The Nassau Guardian.
Observers were described as "visibly shaken" by the incident. Some were "wailing and sobbing" at the scene.
The incident occurred at a park in the Masons Addition subdivision on the island of New Providence, the most populated island in The Bahamas and location of the nation's capital, Nassau.
Press liaison officer Chief Superintendent Chrislyn Skippings said the matter would be considered "a sudden death" pending the results of a fuller investigation, including an autopsy.
“Around quarter to 10 this morning, we understand that the victim was here playing a game of basketball when she reportedly collapsed,” Skippings told Nassau-based news publisher The Tribune.
"We are going to have an autopsy performed to find out exactly what went wrong [and] why she collapsed on the park today," she added…

I feel badly for the vaxers, I really do.
They are using the mental trick of blanket denial as a reassurance of their own well being, hoping they will be among the fortunate and not fall prey to the mortal risk of injecting these substances into their body.
I give them the initial shot(s), anyone can make a well-meaning mistake. But by the time the succession of boosters began being pushed, the hazzards of these drugs were known. If they’ve been getting boosted as well, that’s all on them.
I feel bad for the people who knew that there were risks but were forced to take the vax or have their careers and/or livelihood ended. Many had the responsibility of taking care of family and loved ones.
I also feel sorry for those who faced real discrimination and repercussions for standing up to this nonsense. My wife and I know several people who lost their jobs and gave up long time careers. These were mostly people who were taking care of Covid victims early in the pandemic and had natural immunity. When you tell the vaxxed about it they could not care less for the most part.
