Vladimir Putin has shown his rage at Russia's collapsing economy and failing war effort, as he publicly humiliated his deputy prime minister during an angry rant.
The fuming dictator blasted Denis Manturov in a government video conference for failing to procure military and civilian planes.
He accused him of "fooling around" after the politician, a deputy PM and Trade and Industry Minister, flew on holiday to Turkey over New Year.
The Kremlin leader also shook up his high command once again, promoting a number of loyalist generals.
A video of Putin's furious rant showed the president declaring: “There are no contracts. What are you going to tell me?"
He then adds: “I know there are no contracts at the companies, the directors told me.
“Why are you really fooling around?”
He told the minister that he had one month to sort out the mess — which led to a shortage of military planes for the airforce and a failure to supply new aircraft to civilian companies that are hit by Western sanctions.
Putin stormed: "This all must be done within a month, I am asking you, within a month…
“Don't we understand in what conditions we're living?”
The chastened Manturov was seen bowing his head.
Putin also shook up his military command structure for the umpteenth time during the war with Ukraine.

One word? You mean the whole war revolves around salt mines and a place called Soledar? Who knew.
Actually the reason he’s been losing is that a year later he’s still fighting a war with Ukraine.
Also when does WW3 start? We’ve been told that’s happening, or is even the goal of the United States.
Seems to me when that didn’t come close to happening, certain people moved on to new memes.
Putin’s economy and war effort are both in vastly better shape than any facet of YOUR wretched existence...
Video takes forever to load...
Zero aircraft contracts for Russia in 2022. Zero contracts for 2023. So much winning!
Not to mention that the headline contradicts the content...
Anyone who knows anything about RuSSia isn’t surprised. Despite having enormous natural resources, rich soil, and 145,000,000 people, it is an economic midget. California’s economy is almost as large.
Prior to the war, RuSSia was importing almost 100% of ball bearings from the West. You cannot make hardly anything without ball bearings. RuSSia’s ball bearings are poor.
RuSSia has no competitive chip industry, no competitive software industry, no advanced machinery industry, and no electronics industry. This hampers nearly all industries.
RuSSia’s oil and gas revenues kept them afloat during much of 2022, but now they are plummeting.
This fool, like the one in 1933, is driving all RuSSia’s best brains out of the country.
All stage craft to demonstrate Vlad is in charge.
I’m not positive, but I don’t think “umpteenth” is really a number.
Sounds like the the guy just had to place an order for airplanes. The manufacturer was already determined. The money is already set aside for it.
The guy must be a dumba$$.
So what? The Putin Fanbois on this site constantly assure us that autarchy, which Russia is pursuing, is one of the best ways of achieving national prosperity, which is why things are so rosey in Russia.
The only thing better is Russia's policy of exporting oil and gas in exchange for electronic, not even paper, Rubles, which the importers purchased with electronic, not even paper, foreign currency, which electronic foreign currency the Russians cannot spend because of the sanctions regime. Do you have any idea how many electrons the Russians have accumulated? All is going according to Putin's Cunning Plan™!
/sarcasm
If the countless photos marcus posted were an indication of how much time Putin spent without a shirt on, Putin would have frozen to death a hundred times by now!
;^)
Gazillions of people can’t be wrong.
Kherson. Which is 28 times bigger. And that’s not counting the rest of the north bank of the Dneiper.
Russia is fighting for villages, not strategic objectives.
To be fair, the one thing one can give Putin credit for is the great revival in Russian agriculture.
Other than that Russia has underperformed in re economic development, given its enormous advantages, not least its access to investment capital.
Very interesting link. Thx for posting.
Russia has capital. A lot of it.
It is sitting in the foreign bank accounts of Putin and his inner-circle.
That is a fact FRiend.
I am not saying our nation is less corrupt or morally superior, but you would be hard-pressed to find any leader in the world who is wealthier than Putin.
My personal theory is that the elites are pissed that they were never able to “vanquish” the Soviets head-to-head and demonstrate their superiority...Reagan simply ran the Soviets up and down the field until they collapsed from exhaustion, and thus the elites were denied their “destiny”.
Well they are certainly making up for lost time doing everything they can to turn this country into a commie craphole.
And yet life goes on. As the Bible says the love of money is the root of all evil. One wonders how much the author was paid.
