A man has claimed that €111,000 (£98,000) was stolen from his bank account after he had his drink spiked at a strip club in London.
Vanity Bar and Nightclub, Carlisle St, Soho, is now facing closure after a string of incidents at the venue. Police have called for their license to be suspended pending investigation.
Ten men have reported that following visits to the London club they have had a combined £250,000 (€283,500) robbed from their bank accounts.
According to MyLondon, a man who visited the club November 26th 2022 said he woke up on the street near his home with no recollection of how he got there. He said his only memory from the evening was when he visited Vanity and bought a drink.
After he checked his account, more than £19,000 (€21,500) was missing after it was sent to a number of unknown bank accounts.

“She’s so fine there’s no telling where the money went.”
and how, exactly, would one do that if their drink was spiked?
Someone with situational awareness would realize that Strip Clubs are places to be avoided, period.
“I woke up in a Soho doorway, a policeman knew my name,
he said’ “you can go sleep at home tonight if you can get up and walk away...””

Which is precisely why the thieves drugged their victims.
Yes it seems a bit odd. Did someone steal their bank debit cards but also know what the pin number or password was, to get into their bank account?
I saw 7k on 2 credit cards while my late husband was in Spain of a layover with his crew. He claimed his drink was spiked, too. Way to nearly destroy a marriage. If I weren’t a Christian, it would have been.If one values their children, they’ll stay out of strip clubs, regardless what they might think of their wife.
By keeping track of the drink, assuming that it was another customer who did the spiking.
Guy’s lucky he isn’t missing a kidney.

Don’t bring your debit card, bank app or checkbook to a strip club.
Nah - just use his phone with Face ID, open the account apps, Zelle the money.
That should all be traceable though.
Can I see you again?
Good questions.

There’s Mistake #1: bringing your cellphone to that kind of place.
I was mugged in New Orleans, right there in the French Quarter, at the tender age of 18.
I was fortunate for this to happen. I learned:
1. Never to wave your money around.
2. Keep big cash in a secret place; belt, in your sock, shoe, not your pocket or wallet. You can retrieve it, if you need some, in the stall in the men’s room.
3. Go bar/club hopping with friends. I was in the Air Force. ALWAYS have a wingman.
4. If you split with a chick, tell your wingman/men you’ll call them by X O’clock. No call means come get me.
5. If it feels sus, it usually is.
6. Alcohol can make you brave. It also makes you stupid. If you’re not a bada$$ gansta, don’t try to prove you can take on one.
Many years ago, in a “friend’s” bar in Washington, D.C., (the one over the Post Pub,) a beautiful girl got all cuddly with me on the couch. I quickly realized she was reaching for my pockets. The while thing was a pickpocket routine. Now in mid-life I have learned a few lessons, among them: alcohol has no helpful function. It is a cunning, baffling, powerful poison. Also, nothing good ever happens away from home after 10pm.
