I think M was gay in the last movie. I don't think it's necessary to push leftist identity politics in a James Bond movie.
But I can imagine a great 007 film about an Eastern European dictator goading the West into giving him billions to fight off a Soviet invasion, and Bond having to go after the leaders of a cabal of corrupt Western officials and industry leaders who are pocketing the money. :)

Many years ago I read a study of advertising. White people did not care who was in the commercial (based on race.). Minorities were much more likely to buy a product if their race was represented in the commercial. Therefore, the smorgasbord of races way out of proportion to the general public.
I find it amusing that every family in commercials are black and white with Asian kids.
