California has my sympathies
But here in Utah, Idaho, Montana , Nevada and Colorado we desperately need the water. Multi-year drought. Water is welcome
It’s raining cat’s and dogs right now... rivers are up...
This is from ‘The Hill’ which is a Beltway bullshit source par excellant. Therefore that which in the past would have been seen as the passing nature of weather will be presented as apocalyptic CLIMATE CHANGE, oh YES, OH THE HUMANITY.
See how a warmer world primed California for large fires

Good maybe we can get some action on refilling Powell and Mead.
California has always gone through cycles of drought followed by extreme rain and snow.
Well, snow has reduced to about 4” deep at our place but more of the rain/snow starting early Monday morning. 🌨❄🌬😱
“forecast to hit the high elevations of mountains in the interior part of the state, including the Sierra Nevada”
“Including”??
Are there other high elevation mountains in the central interior part of CA that are NOT the Sierra Nevada?
If it adds to the snowpack, it is all good.
Tough to get so much so quickly, but isn’t the water a relief for the parched west?
Omg not like these storms have not happen in the past. Oh and a few volcanic eruptions in the last year.
This is good. With all the illegal immigration our water supply in Arizona is threatened.
here in deep SoCal, we’ve had 2 days of sun and no rain. Which is great - it’s given us a window for the rain to be able to sink further into the desertscape. Ready for round 2.
But I do wonder if the econuts up in Norcal dealing with the widescale flooding are now reconsidering their brilliant idea to destroy dams....
cyclone - most overused word these days.
Finally.....something to clean up SF.
GOES-West - Sector view: Pacific Southwest full disk is impressive, look at those critters lined up in the chute:

Maybe the reservoirs and lakes in the Western States will finally fill to full capacity.
That sounds like California can solve their water shortage and make the state lush and green once more.
Must be that “coming ice age” finally arriving.
