But here in Utah, Idaho, Montana , Nevada and Colorado we desperately need the water. Multi-year drought. Water is welcome

Yes, we started off great in Nov and Dec here in North Idaho, but it dried up about two to three weeks ago.
If the Dems in the cities of those states would go back to Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, Pittsbugh, Philly, NYC, etc, the water use would drop greatly.
If CA, IL, NY, MI, PA would pass a law to cause forfeiture of state pensions to state workers that leave the state after retirement, and make it retroactive, that would at least be interesting theater.
