Omg not like these storms have not happen in the past. Oh and a few volcanic eruptions in the last year.
If the Dems in the cities of those states would go back to Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, Pittsbugh, Philly, NYC, etc, the water use would drop greatly.
If CA, IL, NY, MI, PA would pass a law to cause forfeiture of state pensions to state workers that leave the state after retirement, and make it retroactive, that would at least be interesting theater.
This is good. With all the illegal immigration our water supply in Arizona is threatened.
I was there 29 years. I can assure you, that is true.
here in deep SoCal, we’ve had 2 days of sun and no rain. Which is great - it’s given us a window for the rain to be able to sink further into the desertscape. Ready for round 2.
But I do wonder if the econuts up in Norcal dealing with the widescale flooding are now reconsidering their brilliant idea to destroy dams....
cyclone - most overused word these days.
Finally.....something to clean up SF.
GOES-West - Sector view: Pacific Southwest full disk is impressive, look at those critters lined up in the chute:

That's how last year was for CA, then it just stopped for the rest of the year. Hopefully it keeps coming for a few more months this time. We need it.
Sure, we have El Nino years and La Nina years. But this is a BOMB CYCLONE! I never even heard the term until a couple years ago. I guess they had to make something up to make normal weather patterns seem more severe.
Maybe the reservoirs and lakes in the Western States will finally fill to full capacity.
That sounds like California can solve their water shortage and make the state lush and green once more.
Must be that “coming ice age” finally arriving.
The Cascades come down into Northern California.
In the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles there have been no heavy rains.
No houses in the Hollywood Hills built on stilts have slid down the hills.
Nobody is standing on their car’s rooftops in the Sepulveda Dam.
Sherman Way going under the Van Nuys airport isn’t flooded.
It’s a light rain. Just enough to make the weeds grow and turn the mountains green.
Weather community has to sensationalize weather so they get click revenue.
Same BS crap as usual. that’s why all of sudden we have “bomb cyclones” and “named winter storms” among other crap.
“...I do wonder if the econuts up in Norcal dealing with the widescale flooding are now reconsidering their brilliant idea to destroy dams...”
Dams not only for hydroelectric but for hydrology purposes. A quick look at the entire west coast is clearly representative of heavy weather erosion. The mountain ranges are cut deep with gorges and washes. Beautiful weather, but prone to extremes.
The term Pacific is practically an Oxymoron.
I see mud slides in the future.
I dont know what the hell theyre talking about... my app shows a few formations but nothing materializes and they are all 1000s of miles off shore!! London Area looks worse off with their northerlies coming in!!

I had one of these plus a Torino to steel sheet metal from. 1969 Mercury Cyclone Dan Gurney Special verified by the VIN number. Most were Cale Yarborough Editions and between the two, less than 500 were built for NASCAR 69 and they ended Chrysler's long winning streak that year.
I ended up selling them because we decided to move to another State. Even restored, it would have only been worth about $20k at the time. One big reason is that this particular car came with a 351 with 2 bbl. If it had originally come with the 429 with 6 pack(three 2 bbl carbs), it would have been worth $28k or so. These days you can add $10 to those values.
