A Georgia man was arrested on a fugitive warrant after facial recognition technology mistakenly linked him to the theft of luxurious purses in a state he’d not been to.
Randall Reid, 28, was arrested in DeKalb County, Georgia after law enforcement officials followed their facial recognition technology matches, which ended up being wrong.
“They told me I had a warrant out of Jefferson Parish. I said, ‘What is Jefferson Parish?'” Reid said.

I wish this would happen to me.
I would enjoy the money I’d receive from the lawsuit.
FYI... the TSA types are planning to use facial recognition “technology” at America’s airports. Oh joy!
Jefferson Parish is on the outskirts of New Orleans.
So the guy spends 5 days in Jail because of a faulty system, that seems to be prejudiced against black skinned people.
What recourse does the victim have to get back that 5 days, and the arrest off his record?
Some low-paid idiot somewhere put some guy’s unpaid speeding ticket on my credit report years ago.
It happened in Arizona. I was actually there that year but never got pulled over for speeding.
I went from the airport to my hotel. To Camelback to visit Planet Hollywood and eat. Same with Hard Rock. Bought some BBQ sauce native to Phoenix. And a bag from Venture - yeah mid-1990s.
I hope he comes out of this a rich man.

Amen

The individual must always give way to the collectivity. The burocrats will claim they’re keeping us safe. We didn’t stop them at the “patriot act” so they became more intrusive.
“My attorney will be needing the name and address of the software company, and of course the name of the person in your department who made the decision to use it”.

I am perpetual, I keep the country clean!

Police detective: We know you’re George Costanza. We know you’re bald!
Dress like the Amish ... confuse and troll all at once.
See? Even the facial recognition cameras are racist and think ‘they’ all look alike. :O
