The steamer McClellan, Capt. GRAY, arrived here yesterday forenoon, with dates from New-Orleans to Saturday, Dec. 27.
The steamer Arago, Capt. GADSDEN, also arrived at this port, yesterday, from New-Orleans on the evening of the 29th.
The transport Albany, of the Banks Expedition, arrived out on the day the Arago left -- of course, in a partially disabled condition.
No event of moment had transpired since the departure of the steamer Spaulding.
Other vessels of Gen. BANKS' expedition had arrived, and there were already in camp at Baton Rouge some 10,000 of the newly arrived troops.
Gen. BANKS, it was understood, had proposed making Baton Rouge his headquarters.
Gen. BANKS had issued a peremptory order, that the sentence imposed on PYREUN, for challenging an officer, should take effect.

Christmas Day was marked by unusual scenes of rowdyism. Eight persons were arrested for cheering for JEFF. DAVIS.
Among those arrested is an English Lieutenant of Her Britannic Majesty's ship Vesuvius. His name is RALPH HAUTREE. He was very violent and assaulted the policeman. Some Yankee sailors happened to be near, went to the assistance of the policeman, secured him and helped to convey him to the lock-up, where he was but in the stocks, and on the following day was fined $50.
The Delta says that the Mississippi River is rising.
Major FINEGAS, of the Second Louisiana Native Guards, knocked a citizen down in the St. Charles Hotel for shouting "To h_____l with Gen. BUTLER! Three cheers for JEFFERSON DAVIS!"
The steamer J.M. Brown was attacked by guerrillas on the morning of the 23d, while ascending the Bayou Bonfouca, after a load of bricks and wood.
