You can’t say that Tesla was underrated or unknown but I’d have to say his contributions are not widely understood

To an old Civil / Petroleum Engineer I can respect other less materials science / brute force world related branches of the profession. We all have our niche if we choose to make one.

That’s certainly not accurate. Many innovator hsve stumbled onto great ideas they put into practice without a clue as to the underlying theory. Edison and DeForest being two notable examples.

He probably had Asperger’s syndrome which Musk has. Maybe that is why Musk named his car a Tesla

Strange...

There was an old TV show that, for many years, he used to show up on...

He is/was a very “close” friend of Dr. Helen Magnus...
Lucky him!

He was an idealist, not a power hungry, anti human ****.

He had bats in the belfry. Edison played him like a fiddle.

What people refer to as "bats in the belfry" sometimes is just a set of priorities that are wildly different than most. I don't think Tesla gave a damn about money, other than as a means by which he could continue his experiments.

That's hard to believe considering that all the "far right" conspiracy publishers sell printed versions of his notes. I assumed he was one of their heroes.

I was in the John Birch Society for a while and wound up on the mailing lists of all sorts of weirdos.

I guess that's another way of looking at it. He was certainly for a global community as opposed to nation/states and blamed nation states for fostering and encouraging all wars.

He was also a mystic and heavily into Hinduism which may have formed his opinion.

There is a particular branch of electromagnetism that is not taught, Tesla Waves. Electric or magnetic scaler waves, longitudinal and superluminal. Experiments have demonstrated that exposure of the body to Tesla Waves increases the immune system.

I’m still trying to figure this thing out. ∇⋅B > 0? Zero Point Energy?

I did start reading another book about him that featured some Indian swami saying that he was revered in India. They likened him to one of the ancient gods when he was showing off the device where he electricity flowing through him. In the book he wrote he didn't mention it as far as I can remember but he did mention how silly things like esp and other psychic phenomena were.

Two of my favorite quotes. There is another quote that I’m unable to remember about when science studies these phenomenon’s they’d advance faster? He may have changed his mind, one way or the other over time. He was a very interesting character.

Yeah he was and visionary only scrapes the surface. He predicted cell phones, fax machines..even the internet and the ability to send pictures and text remotely.
