However, Henig's goal isn't necessarily to win as a man.

"Instead, I’m trying to connect with my teammates in new ways, to cheer loudly, to focus more on the excitement of the sport," Henig wrote. "Competing and being challenged is the best part.

Except you're so slow that you're not competitive and there's no challenge. Although, to be fair, Henig was faster than a swimmer with one arm.

Also, if your goal isn't to win, maybe you should just go swim laps in a pool and not enter a swim meet.

"'I wasn’t the slowest guy in any of my events, but I’m not as successful in the sport as I was on the women’s team,' Henig wrote."

Oops. Busted.

As long as the Asian and African countries keep the trans freaks out of women's sports at the Olympic games, we will do fine.

I'm guessing "he" is really a she, pretending to be a he (i.e., a transman).

Modern headlines are confusing, I know.

This is a girl pretending to be a boy.

This mental illness affects both sexes. Its not about who wins trophies that makes it a problem. Its a problem about mental illness and it affects both pretendaboys and pretendagirls. It needs to be opposed because we don’t encourage anyone to stay mentally ill, not because of who wins or doesn’t win something.

It’s a different kind of fulfillment. And it’s pretty great to feel comfortable in the locker room every day."

She doesn't really think she'll ever win or even place, but she's happy to be in the guys' locker room.

You still swim like a girl, Izzy. Carrying too much fat, too, from the photos.

How does she/he [can’t tell] make the team? Surely there are faster swimmers.

I remember reading something a while back about how the men’s 100th ranked tennis player would beat the number one female tennis player, and it wouldn’t even be close.

Without steroids or any other performance enhancing drug, this swimmer will never stand a chance against any man in a swimming event. Maybe diving. But I do have to admire her/his moxy for trying it.

If “it” lost 20 - 30lbs I’m guessing “it’s” time would get better.

Except that the switch can only be flipped once.

She’s a Woman, prolly a Tomboy.
Nothing wrong with a Women going through life living as a Tomboy

Transmen will never be successful at sports where they have to compete with real, biological men.

You might be thinking of Lia Thomas born William at UPenn.

This one is born a girl, now with a mastectomy and testosterone supplements.

Huh, who could have guessed? In a sport where physical power is a huge component, she falls short of men.
