Iszak Henig, a transgender male, joined Yale's men's swimming team after finishing last year as an All-American female swimmer.
Henig has taken hormones for eight months amid his transition, but the senior's times are "about the same as they were at the end of last season," he wrote in an op-ed piece for the New York Times on Thursday.
Henig wrote that during a meet in November among 83 swimmers, he finished in 79th place....
...However, Henig's goal isn't necessarily to win as a man.....

I remember reading something a while back about how the men’s 100th ranked tennis player would beat the number one female tennis player, and it wouldn’t even be close.
Without steroids or any other performance enhancing drug, this swimmer will never stand a chance against any man in a swimming event. Maybe diving. But I do have to admire her/his moxy for trying it.
If “it” lost 20 - 30lbs I’m guessing “it’s” time would get better.
In this confused one’s case it’s men-dacity.
LOL!
“’I wasn’t the slowest guy in any of my events, but I’m not as successful in the sport as I was on the women’s team,’ Henig wrote.”
This Thing is a total embarrassment to sports.
Except that the switch can only be flipped once.
I, for one, do not enable a persons mental illness.
She’s a Woman, prolly a Tomboy.
Nothing wrong with a Women going through life living as a Tomboy
Transmen will never be successful at sports where they have to compete with real, biological men.
The mentally ill person was born with a front hole…
You might be thinking of Lia Thomas born William at UPenn.
This one is born a girl, now with a mastectomy and testosterone supplements.
Grow up without testosterone and have child bearing hips, good luck.
Chicks have a “Q angle” which is why they have so many knee injuries.
The typically also have greater joint laxity.
No, no. A transman is a fake man, and a transwoman is a fake woman.
And if they say "he" then it's really a "she", and if they say "she" it's really a "he," and if they say "they" or "ze" then it's really an "it."
Hmmmm, coming in 79th of 83 probably ain't threatening anybody, except the last three.
Huh, who could have guessed? In a sport where physical power is a huge component, she falls short of men.
thanks. I do think I got them mixed up
We live in clown world.I was honestly confused by all this, trying to figure out how anyone could possibly support this kid's delusion, how the coaches, teammates, parents, siblings are all cowed and wooed by an idiot ideology. Occam straightened it our for me in post no. 11 , thank you!
I remember reading something a while back about how the men’s 100th ranked tennis player would beat the number one female tennis player, and it wouldn’t even be close.Actually, a cigarrette smoking (literally during changeovers) Men's no. 203 did roundly beat the Williams sisters:
