I’m not sure why, but my soul has a very strong aversion to McCarthy. This happens with very few people and is not based upon any logical factual information or thinking.
When I look at the guy I get a punch in the gut feeling. Whenever I get this feeling, it is always a warning that a person is not as they appear. It is never wrong. It has saved my ass throughout my life many times.
I really hope and pray that I’m wrong on this.
If true, it is one more indication that really tough times are ahead.
You’re not wrong. I can still see pictures of that scum backslapping with the former Speaker Paul Ryan. That’s all that need be said about that slug McCarthy.
You’re not wrong. I’m the same way.
I’m not sure why, but my soul has a very strong aversion to McCarthy.
Count me in. Maybe we need a McCarthy ping list just to see how the promises pan out in reality.
I really hope and pray that I’m wrong on this.
If true, it is one more indication that really tough times are ahead.
I too get that feeling. I feel that he is going to be far worse than Ryan because he has an axe to grind.
Vote has revealed how huge the RINO faction is in the House.
“my soul has a very strong aversion to McCarthy”
I had the same feeling the first time I saw Joe Biden blathering on the Senate floor. Instinctively I had a deep loathing for him, and it has only intensified over the years as I’ve learned more about him.
McCarthy gives me the heebee jeebees.
I think everyone here knows he’s a traitorous snake. It doesn’t take a gut feeling to know that.
If I have been blessed with one gift from God, it has been the ability to size people up pretty quickly and accurately. It had served me very well in both my personal and professional life, and some of my coworkers have even found slightly eerie. One time we had a new director come and take over your unit. Very impressive resume. We met with him and everybody was going gaga over this credentials and self promotion pitch.
I told a coworker, "He ain't gonna last. He'll be gone in a month or two." Sure enough, about a month and a half into his tenure, he didn't show up for work one day. Turns out he wrecked his car (real nice high end Mustang), somehow made it home, got arrested for DUI, and then filed a false police report saying his car had been stolen. He was gone.
I was against Karl Rove in the early 2000s when everybody on FR was celebrating his genius.
In any case, I only mention this because, like you, I feel the same way about McCarthy.
You ain’t wrong. He’s slimy and deceitful. Just ask his wife who knows he cheats on her.
TRUST YOUR GUT!!
When I look at the guy I get a punch in the gut feeling.
Gut feelings are the pulling together of a number of small, seemingly unrelated things to form a more informed understanding of something.
Trust your gut.
McCarthy is one I just don’t trust. Don’t like the look or the words. I also have been well served by always suspecting anyone who wants a job too much and the more powerful the position the more I suspect.
I always hesitate too judge a book by its cover but first impressions are usually not wrong. I have learned to go with my gut sometimes first and final but always a factor to be considered seriously.
The gut feel is part intuition and part experience.
I am willing to be wrong but my gut feel has protected me more times than not. Like something that can be made shorter but not longer; trusting first and suffering later is nearly impossible to recover. Instead trust is to be earned from suspicion.
