Because some quack says it is scientific everyone believes it.

And yet the skeptics here on FreeRepublic are constantly insulted and ridiculed for NOT automatically "believing the science." (Or the outright lies.)
While you did not bother to ask me my view on this, I suspect this study was done more to show Ramadan in a positive way instead of something that results (as stated by a poster above and without citation on this thread ) higher rates of kidney failure in Middle eastern populations. (So maybe.) Ramadan Fasting during the Day is generally followed by binging with sweets and desserts after sunset to compensate for the daily fast. Probably better to have a big before sunrise meal than after sundown. (You have already provided your view on the subject and your belief that the doctors that published this are "quacks.")
