Bed Bath & Beyond is considering declaring bankruptcy as the New Jersey-based retailer looks for ways to pare its debt.
The home goods seller said in a news release that "there is substantial doubt about the company's ability to continue as a going concern" and that it is exploring a range of strategic alternatives, including selling assets, seeking additional capital or seeking bankruptcy protection.
Shares of Bed Bath & Beyond, which jumped in 2021 as traders embraced the so-called meme stock, fell more than 20% in early trade. The company said it expects a net loss of $385.8 million in its fiscal third quarter.

I have not used the Mr. Coffee machine in about four years -
but it's good to have backup if my Keurig machine breaks,
and my backup Keurig machine breaks.
I think that was one of only two items that I have ever purchased there.
The other was a rather stylish black metal wastebasket.
Whatever possessed me to be concerned with the 'style'
of such an item now eludes me. Temporary insanity maybe.
So even if I wasn't BB&B's I did actually buy two items there.
So their bankruptcy cannot be blamed on me...
Stylish trash can, eh?

I asked my uncle (a thrift shop enthusiast) to find me a 1960s popcorn popper about 10 years ago. He did and it still works great. Coconut oil + sea salt…delicious. I do not understand why people do microwave popcorn.
When will MyPillow start selling Shower Gel? I would like to see them replicate the ones at BB&B including their annual Christmas sale.
Agree. Like pizza re-heat, microwaves have limits.
I was over there last weekend and she had been doing chicken wings, sweet potatoes fries, and coconut shrimp. She reheated a rare filet mignon that was still rare after heating. She was thrilled. She heated a bone-in ham steak in it for me to try and I have to admit….that was the best ham steak I’ve ever had.
Bed, Bath and Beyond has the worst customer service attitude in the world.

As far as I can tell, they have no contact number, email, etc., on their website.
Sounds interesting. I am always around 3 steps behind everyone else in such advances. A late adopter.
Opposite is the award winning SF writer Robert Silverberg.
Self-proclaimed early adopter. He was one of the first owners of a Mazda rotary engine car. Convinced everyone would have one soon-——went out of production for good.
He also bought the Betamax for videotapes which lost to the common models VHS (”Video Home System”) which we all had soon after. At the start many said of the two types available the Betamax would win. Didn’t.
Forgotten names: Laserdisc (high quality but not for your own recording of TV).

The Telcan, produced by the Nottingham Electronic Valve Company and demonstrated on June 24, 1963, the first home video recorder.
BB&B is not a sustainable business model anymore. It’s so 1990s.
Bankruptcy is a Constitutional right that we need to preserve. It saved President Trump several times from financial ruin.
