When do I start?
Back when I was interviewing prospective employees (all college grads), one of my questions was always “Can you please express the fraction 4/5 as a percentage?” Only about half could do so. Some were truly puzzled, and had no idea what I was asking. Pass.
4/5 equals “almost all of five”.
They cannot read analog clocks, either.
Biden at one time said ALL classroom clocks needed to be changed to DIGITAL.

I’m assuming fractions and percentages are no longer taught in about 4th or 5th grade? The more I learn about what they AREN’T teaching in schools these days, while at the same time learning what they ARE teaching, the more I’m convinced the Dept of Education needs to be disbanded and school control returned to the local community. Just by-pass State control as well and let each county locally decide the curriculum for their school.
