Ohio State’s missed field goal vs. Georgia timed up perfectly with the New York City ball-drop.
Timing is everything, as illustrated by Ohio State kicker Noah Ruggles’ missed game-winning field goal attempt vs. Georgia in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl.
As the calendar flipped to 2023, the clock officially struck midnight on the Buckeyes’ season. The No. 4 seed in the College Football Playoff gave the No. 1-seeded defending national champions all they could handle in their national semifinal game. Ohio State may have outplayed Georgia throughout the Peach Bowl, but 2022 was truly the Year of the Dawg. Georgia improved to 15-0.

Bottom line: How to drop the bowl across two years.
Saw that. Georgia took advantage of some bad calls to win in this close game
I feel bad for the kicker...even though I was pulling for the Dawgs.
Everyone seemed to be saying it was NOAH RUGGLES who missed the kick. Over and over. 1] I hope he can recover and keep kicking. 2] NOAH RUGGLES may not ever have an NFL career.
Because NOAH RUGGLES missed.
Just seemed to me like a little piling on the poor guy.
Maybe I’m wrong.
I share your thoughts as well and will not mention the kicker’s name. He’s a young man with many years ahead of him. To burden him with the loss is cruel and unusual punishment.
There were bad calls on both sides. The most egregious was when Ohio’s back field started moving early and Georgia front line responded. Georgia got the penalty and Ohio got a touch down.

But enough about the 2022 GA elections, was the officiating in the game on the up and up?
The Ohio State University, Columbus:

Worst New Year’s Eve EVER in Columbus. So sad. I don’t know how those folks will cope. Crushed by Michigan. Lose to Georgia.
My bad
Turned out great!! Georgia played its worse game of the season and still won!! Go Dawgs!!!
Actually the Mizzou game was their worst of the year.
He will not replace Mike Lantry (Michigan) that 2 years in a row missed the last minute game winning field goals in 73 and 74 against Ohio St. He is still talked about among the UM faithful to this day. I personally heard disparaging comments about him this season.

However, TCU has a history of not being intimidated by big name programs. Georgia has it’s work cut out for it.
So the Crimson Tide won another Championship in fact, but it is not acknowledged by the status quo.
Woo! Bobcats. One of my first world problems is the goofy “O-H” cheer answered by “”I-O”. Totally different school, woke as it seems to be these days.
Pulling for the Frogs.
Good to see someone else in there. Too much of the same teams winning all the time is not good for College Football.
NFL is set up to allow down teams to rebuild. There are fewer and fewer ways for the have-nots in College football to compete on a level playing field.
Now with NIL and the portal now teams can buy a championship.
College football has free agency now. No salary cap, too. Bizarro world. This system can’t last long.
Were the comments made by overweight, drunk losers that never made a high school sports team, let alone a D-I university?...
