Historic, heavy rainfall in the San Francisco area has caused “sewer geysers” to explode on city streets, sending jets of water high into the air as the city’s overwhelmed drains cannot contain the high volume of rainwater.

Worst still, California hasn’t built new water storage in decades (as far as I recall), and some of their current reservoirs are restricted to less than capacity because of earthquake repairs that have been ignored for years.

Any city that has a Poop App to find spots to avoid walking most likely does not have much difference between sewers and storm water drains.
San Franshitsco needs another earthquake and fire. Then strart over.

If California were true to it’s strict environmental regulations, most of its larger urban areas would be fenced off as toxic waste dumps, and subject to hefty fines for cleanup.
