The iPhone 14 Plus is such a blunder that it is apparently causing Apple to rethink its entire iPhone lineup.
In a new post from yeux1122, a semi-reliable Apple leaker, Apple is reportedly seeing dismal iPhone 14 Plus sales. According to the post, the decline in iPhone 14 Plus sales is "far beyond the range predicted by the external environment." This is leading the company to consider the following changes to the iPhone 15 lineup:

I roller skate at a rink every week. I see the girls with phones in their back pockets. Worst bruise I ever got skating, I fell on my wallet. I was bruised from my right kidney to mid thigh. That was in the late 70’s. Floor guard and DJ. Had to skate backwards to slow the hotrods down LOL. Carried my wallet in my front pocket for a while.
Ouch if they fall on them.
My elderly mom whom is a few years older than your wife is computer illiterate. She didn’t want to buy a smart phone because they were expensive and didn’t want learn how to use them. She got a huge credit from BB because a refrigerator she bought that was under warranty couldn’t be fixed or replaced with the same model. They gave her store credits instead of cash. It didn’t take much arm twisting to get her to buy an Iphone. Within a month or so she ditched the landline and moved the number to the cell.
Lol… I bought an Apple Watch about a year and a half ago on one of our occasional trips through Oregon. We buy big purchases there to avoid paying California sales tax (I LOVE doing that!). I bought it in Bend, OR during a brief stop at the BestBuy there and we continued on. That evening at our motel it wouldn’t pair with my iPhone 6. I tried a half dozen times and got SO frustrated and angry with the watch.
When we got home, I called Apple support and a long call ensued. The support person could not get it to pair either and said to take it back for a refund. Then, finally, either I or my wife noticed a warning on the bottom of the box in pinhead size font (maybe 1 font size) “Requires iPhone 7 or later.” I was so furious. Why couldn’t the “Smart” watch have told me “Your watch is too old, dummy”?
I took it back and a few months later bought the iPhone 12. I never did get an Apple Watch!
SiRi doesn't appear to be getting any smarter.
The 16.2 iOs release completely hosed the "Home Architecture Update"
Say what you will about him, but I doubt this kind of nonsense would've happened under Jobs.
Be a shame if CCP asset Apple went belly up.
I have some cargo pants but cannot wear for business so need the front pocket plan.
Surprise surprise a negative iPhone article on MSN.
I worked at M$soft when they had the “iPhone Funeral” because the windows phone was going to put Apple out of business.
They had also just paid billions for Nokia.
What hubris.
The Pixel 7 (not Pro) is the absolutely perfect size. And the battery lasts forever. And I got it for free with an XS trade in I had lying around from a cousin who didn’t need it anymore.
I was in OKC at the time. The home area was basically Oklahoma county and not much more. Outside this home area, there were roaming $$$ ticking up full time plus the per minute charge when actually talking on the blasted thing. This was something like the early 1990s. Was I ever glad to dump that fiasco of a phone.
“BTW-I don’t know why the 14 sales are terrible. I like the iPhone 14 and the new camera is better than the one on my iPhone 10 XS Max.”
I don’t think iPhone 14 sales are terrible, in fact I think the regular iPhone is big enough for most people and is selling great. However, that’s a good reason for Plus sales to be down, if in fact that’s happening.
My wife, older son, and I all like bigger phones, and the 14 was an upgrade cycle for all of us - we all got the Plus. For me personally, the better camera features were the deciding factor.
I have an old SE and really like it. I’d upgrade but I don’t see a new model I like better. The SE is compact and unassuming and does what I need it to do. My only complaint is that it occasionally, like about twice a year, gets into a state where the battery runs down quickly. This lasts for a day or two and then it returns to normal. It’s done it enough now that I know the pattern. Aside from that it’s a good little workhorse phone.
Plus I can now read Free Republic posts on my phone without squinting my eyes or enlarging it so that I have to constantly scroll. I do need to hold it in landscape mode to get the entire post on the screen without having to scroll.
I have a 13 Pro Max that I just got in September. I had a 7+ for 5 yrs that I loved, but I had to charge it 3 times a day, so I finally broke down and upgraded. I wanted the 14 but there was a 4-6 week wait which was simply unacceptable. The 13 is working out pretty well and I’m happy so far.
“With all due respect to iPhone owners (my relatives included) ...”
I got an iPhone because my relatives all have them and can tutor me.
Yes, Apple’s presence in the Smart Home is about nil. But I’m not sure anybody makes money in that market. I’ve got a lot ofSmartThings devices, but Samsung is struggling in that market as rearchitecting the system and exiting hardware completely.
I am a RE Broker my eyes are 76 years old. The size of the phone may determine if I need glasses to view some text. If it fits my pocket like the 12 does, I will buy the biggest size I can.
I am 71 and I hear you! Thank goodness for large screens, magnifiers, and being able to increase font size. I never thought I’d see the day where my eyes started giving out. Ugh.
Says they guy who doesn't own one.(it isn't the phone it is the software integration that Apple provides)
About 70 years ago a teacher I had in high school was asked by some students about going steady in high school. He replied if you never ate anything but rotten eggs you wouldn't know what a good one tasted like.
Many freepers lambasted the LED and low volume commodes until they tried them. Things change whether we like it or not and sometimes we have zero choice in the matter, some times we do but that option is slowly and surely disappearing.
Ever wonder why cars all look nearly the same? Hard to tell new ones from old ones, with modern paint a 10 year old car is just as shiny as a new one. Think Volkswagen.
You could always use an iPad mini and Google phone, I did that for a while. Don't even own an iPhone anymore, wife does and I never leave house without her so I just take my 12.9 in iPad Pro with a data plan with me. Life is good.

They’re terrible!
