ST. LOUIS — A Missouri woman whose car was allegedly stolen is accused of tracking down the suspected thief on Wednesday, killing two men and wounding another, authorities said.

Demesha Coleman, 35, of Spanish Lake, was arrested Wednesday(snip)

She was charged on Thursday in the deaths of Darius Jackson, 19, and Joseph Farrar, 49, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported. The two men were fatally shot outside a Speedie Gas station in St. Louis, according to the newspaper.

The two men were pronounced dead at the scene, KSDK-TV reported. Another male victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition with a gunshot wound to his head, according to the television station.(snip)

Police said that after Coleman’s Hyundai Tucson SUV was stolen, she tracked the vehicle to the gas station, KSDK reported.

At about 10:30 p.m. CST, Coleman was captured on surveillance footage walking up to the vehicle at the gas station’s parking lot, the Post-Dispatch reported. She was with a man who police have not identified, but authorities said they were both carrying guns.

The video shows Coleman opening the front passenger door of the SUV with her gun raised, while the man opened the driver’s side door, KMOV-TV reported. Police said that Coleman opened fire and a shootout occurred, according to the television station.

Coleman allegedly told detectives during a recorded interview that she went to the gas station to take her stolen car back, then identified herself on the footage, according to court documents.

Farrar was shot in the torso and police found him next to a gasoline pump, the Post-Dispatch reported. Jackson was on the ground next to the SUV and had also been shot in the torso, according to police.

The third man was found on the far end of the gas station parking lot.

A buddy of mine owned a Palisade for a while. It was quite a nice ride, comparable to any of the high end SUVs. Very, very nice interior.

Back when the law protected citizens rather than criminals I would have objected to this...

If police were stationed at every other home in the city, the white liberal 'elites' and black thugs running the legal system, would have those car thieves back on the streets before their victims had filed an insurance claim for their totaled cars.

Let's put blame where blame belongs.

The idea of people not being able to defend their property is relatively new.

Brought to us by the liberal democrats in the 60’s.

As just another way of destroying our country.

It is never the criminals fault but societies fault.

You can never blame the person for their wrongful actions.

Time to reverse this thinking. it is a very failed idea.

“Okay, so once again... the police showed up for the paperwork.

Vigilantism and all that... the police need to show up for something other than the paperwork.”

You are so right. If a crime happens to you even the quickest police response is critical minutes away, and in some of these Lib hellholes the paperwork is all that’s really ever done. You are just on your own.

If her car was actually stolen and those shot and killed actually stolen the car then I’m good with what she did.

“A car for some people today is equivalent to a horse in the 1800s.”

Excellent point.

Use of deadly force in defense of property should be not only legal, but even encouraged/subsidized.

I am not being sarcastic.

The fact that banks and armored cars have armed guards that may shoot to kill in defense of money, and private citizens are denied that property defense right show we are yet peasants before law.

Good for her. She should bill the survivor for the ammo.

'Was this woman attacked or threatened when she opened the door of her car?"
I read elsewhere that two of the people she shot were armed, and one was pointing his pistol at her when she opened the car door.
