Why the audience, and not the child’s actual parents?
I’ve been condemned as a ‘groomer’ here, just because I don’t think the kid should be shamed for something adults might see in his performance, but which, at his age, he probably doesn’t understand at all.
For a kid who likes dance so much, there are lots of ways to gently steer him toward other forms of dance - instead of shaming him in ways he can’t understand. He might become fascinated with dance in general; but making him feel that he’s done something shameful is just going to turn him off to the whole thing - and introduce sexual issues that themselves are inappropriate to his age.

Back then, I recall we kids didn’t have the luxury of feeling one way or another about edicts from parents. What they said was the way things were. Period.
Looking back, now I wish I had been allowed to be normal. (Couldn’t dance, wear shorts/slacks, go to movies, etc.). Of course, it was good training on how to not be affected by peer pressure the rest of my life - LOL!

Hi caww. Wow, it is hard to believe the animosity here. The kid was enjoying himself and having fun. I saw nothing sexual in his moves either.
Every once in a while a kid will just feel inspired more than others. The people enjoyed it too. One of my boys hated dancing and at his kindergarten song fest turned around and faced the back of the stage. I was embarrassed, but people were laughing because they could see his discomfort. He was shy.
