The mushroom people at the farmer’s market sell something similar.

That's a lot of counter space to give up. Plus, I already have mold on my countertop. :-)

I totally endorse this. It does get to be a passion, pretty soon, but a lot less time, energy and $$.
And they’re good for you!

But they like the dark, so you can stick it under the countertop... or in the back of the closet, in your crawlspace...

Haha, 'magic' mushrooms, you could be on to something.

Great. Where can I buy Psilocybin spores?
To: Red Badger
US$479 plus tax and shipping - hard pass that’s a lot of store bought shrooms.

I think the morel mushroom is by far the best tasting in the world.
Growing up in northern Michigan, I remember my grandfather in the spring time spending a day out in the woods hunting them then mom cooking them.........
I haven't had morel mushrooms in decades and been vowing to head north some spring to hunt some.

That looks like fun. I like regional festivals like that.

You don’t need that whole setup. You can buy mushroom growing kits for much less. They may not do all the same varieties that a very controlled environment would, and there’s probably some trial and error; but people grow them under the kitchen sink all the time.

I just noticed that at the 4:01 mark of that video, I grew up with the guy, his name is Tony Williams.

You can buy mushroom growing kits for much less. True. There are a bunch of them on amazon. I have an indoor/outdoor room, that was too big and just collecting clutter on the dark side of the house. Wouldn't work for plants. Works great for mushrooms.
Folks make fun, they don't know what they're missing! Mushrooms are easy to grow and extremely nutritious!

The best mushrooms I've ever had...used to hunt for them when I was kid.
