She was a millennial.
She didn’t know nor was she taught she was responsible for her own safety.
So no preparations we’re made.
So she did the only two things she could do.
Make a video.
And die.
‘bugout bag’ in the trunk of my car, which doubles as an in-car safety bag because I can get to it through the back seat, includes zero-degree sleeping bag, extra gloves and socks, emergency mylar thermal blankets, first aid kit, fire starter, several types of tool kits, twine and rope, a tarp, and lots of other knick knacks I can’t even remember.
Just like my dash cam, I never need it... because I got it. lol. That’s just how that works. If you are without something, THEN you will desperately need it at some point.
This is really a shame and did not need to occur. All little winter prep is all it takes. I have my old heavy winter coveralls, a shovel and salt in my vehicle all winter. Daddies should teach their daughters about blocked tail pipe and general survival.
“Taylor sent a final video to her family members from inside the car”
Should have swallowed her pride and called 911 instead.
One would think living in the Buffalo area that would be a given.
“ Should have swallowed her pride and called 911 instead.”
Emergency services announced they wouldn’t respond.

No money or time for any survival gear or to educate herself on survival.
If he hasn't reproduced Darwinism has worked.
When you don't know what you don't know, bad things can happen.
I’ve said for years that eliminating the option of calling 911 will go a long way toward making humans more competent, resilient, and self-reliant.
I did not get hit as bad as some places, maybe three feet. Everything is fine if you have provisions and the power doesn't go off. This happened maybe five or six miles from me.
The article doesn’t say, but I wondered that too.
Just heartbreaking. Sending up a prayer for her loved ones.
What are the odds of carbon monoxide poisoning being a factor in the driver’s death?
Pretty good, I’d say.................
Also, I was taught about dangerous weather.
Back in the mid - early 60’s
On a Fri night lark
We decided with nothing else to do
to drive east to Niagara falls
Got into NY state
Hit a storm cell
Barely could turn around
No car heater
Can of window defroster
Interstate 90 was closed for three days
Four of us had 20 dollars between us
“That’s why I live in Florida........................”
You do know that they don’t have hurricanes in Buffalo.
I wondered. Long ago I was told that, to save gas, the battery, and that situation, turn off the car and turn it over once per hour for 5-10 minutes.
I have been thru 5 hurricanes and several tropical storms.
They last a few hours and are gone, then you clean up the mess......................
Was she in Buffalo three weeks ago?
Many states could and should have declared emergencies and shut down all but essential offices and businesses, based on what reliable weather reports said was heading their way, before the most severe temperatures and snowfalls occurred. Not only would millions have been safer, but emergency crews and infrastructure recovery crews would have been less taxed by needing to assist fewer rescues. As the snowfalls broke and temperatiures rose, then folks could resume activities outside the home in whatever, and whenver, safe conditions were available. States should not need for the worst cases play out before declaring winter emergencies and clearing essential roads of travellers. Travellers would be better holed up in motels the day and nite before the bad weather is going to hit, instead of “trying to make it through”.
If me daughter called me in such a situation, I would hope and pray to God I would have gotten to her or that they would have found my body along the way.
If I found myself so stranded, then I would hope to have reached out to other nearby stranded folk for help and to help.
