Knoxville Center Mall - torn down and an Amazon warehouse built in its place.
Amazon warehouse never opened. It just sits there vacant.

We did something different because we’re all over 50...gave to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Danny Thomas is a memory of my youth. He left quite a legacy.

I went to check out the Christmas window displays at Hudson's in downtown Detroit. The block is vacant. Some bastards stole the whole damn building!

Circuit City, Comp USA, Radio Shack, PetValu, Borders and KMart.
Those gutted me.
For reasons I cannot fathom, we’re getting a “Boot Barn” in the strip mall where KMart once was.
As if we really need a lot of square dancing clothes and hideous “fashion” cowboy boots here.

No - I’ve been here only since 2002-03.

When a huge mall closed in our area (the surrounding neighborhood went into the toilet) I thought it could be re-purposed as a prison.
People from the surrounding area could check in, spend several nights there, and credit the time served to their future criminal convictions.

Before you know it, they'll likely merge with Nash-Kelvinator and form a fourth big car company. They could call it AMC. After that picture show place.

Yes, we lost all of those, plus Zales, Gordon Jewelers, the food court is almost empty except for a ‘Crackers’ and a Asian fast food place.
We also lost The Gap, American Eagle Outfitters, Kirkland’s, McCrae’s (upscale dept store), Hallmark, Victoria’s Secret, 5-7-9 Shop, GNC, and a host of others...................
