"At the start of the 2023-24 season, Sunday Ticket will be available two ways: as an add-on package on YouTube TV and as a standalone a-la-carte option on YouTube Primetime Channels, which allows you to subscribe to individual streaming services and channels as well as watch movies. Pricing hasn’t been determined."
So you won't have to signup for Youtube TV to get it, although I assume there will be some discount for people who do have or get YouTube TV. I assume Google want this as a way to drive more people to YTTV.

You can find an online stream for any game you want. Free.

I hope, because I aleady have Fubo TV, and I really have no desire to switch.

Woke TV streamer, broadcasting felons, playing in a woke football league.
I think I’ll pass.

If YouTube wants to pay $2 billion for NFL games, I guess that’s their business.
But this deal had better not interfere with their funny cat videos!

Same for NFL Redzone, which I find more interesting than watching entire games these days.
In any event, I think the NFL is overexposed at this point. Too many games on too many days of the week, especially the terrible Thursday night games - not nearly enough time for players to have recovered from the previous week's game and the gameplay usually reflects this.

The deal comes as the league has been pushing for to have its games on more streaming outlets. Goodell has said the league was pushing for Sunday Ticket to end up on a streaming service. “I think that’s best for consumers at this stage,” Goodell previously told CNBC.ROGER GOODELL IS AN IDIOT!!!!!..................

This is a good move because it will be available to far more people than only going through DirectTV. Almost everyone will be able to do this from anywhere and on any device.

trying to watch any sports via steaming is ridiculous ... difficult or impossible to pause, backup, fast-forward, do your own replays, time-shift the game ... there’s no sports worth that hassle to watch ...

I can’t wait for the YouTube model where they will interrupt right in the middle of a critical play for a nonsensical advertisement...

I watch the two 1pm games on a Tivo, switching back and forth and skipping the commercials; not sure that would work with streaming.

especially the terrible Thursday night gamesWell the good news with 9pm game starts on Monday and Thursday is now that people aren't working more people can stay up to midnight and watch not having to get up at 6am to work.

I pretty much just watch the condensed highlights on YouTube, without knowing the score going in. Saves a lot of time.

It’s the smart move. DirecTV is is dying. They’ve lost half their subscribers in the last 7 years. And they probably couldn’t afford what Google is paying. Sure some of the streamers are having issues, YouTubeTV is climbing. If you can hop from somebody going down to somebody going up, and get paid more, that’s the right move.
