Douglas Macgregor - The Bottom Line
My summary of this excerpt: Chairman of the U.S joints Chiefs of Staff,
General Mark Milley says the chances of the Ukraine winning 'are not high'.
Colonel MacGregor says Zelensky has been lying all along
and the MSM has reported what he says as truth.
MacGregor says the Ukraine is doomed: depleted of soldiers,
weapons, electricity, food, water etc. He says the Russians are
well-equipped and prepared for major offensives in
December and January. American and British contractors. He says everything the Ukrainians have accused the Russians of
doing (war crimes) the Russians have not done, but instead the
Ukrainians themselves are committing these war crimes.
The US and other NATO nations have run out of military equipement/ammo to give them, and the US is now underprepared for conflict elsewhere.TRANSCRIPT BEGINS
Colonel MacGregor (1:14 in the video): "Uh over the
last several months, in fact I would
argue virtually from the 24th of
February when the Russians first
intervened, the tendency in the media has been to
repeat ad nauseam whatever the Ukrainian
government says and treat it as the
truth, and let's be frank, from the outset
uh they've been telling everyone well
the Ukrainians are winning, the Russians
are losing, the Russians are losing tens
of thousands of soldiers, they're losing
hundreds of tanks and critical equipment
and the Russians can't do anything right,
and the Russians are losing,Well that
has never really been true. Virtually from
the beginning the
Russians went in with a fraction of the
force that they had available because
they assumed that we ultimately would
negotiate and be interested in arranging
a ceasefire and come into some sort of
agreement, because their principal
interest as you know, was always to have
a neutral Ukraine.This didn't happen
and finally in the summer, uh I think the
uh the leadership in Moscow decided,
'We've we've got to change our approach.
We have no choice. We have to treat
Ukraine as a theater of war,"
and that's what they've done.
they've absolutely turned Ukraine into a
theater of war and they have changed
their approach 180 degrees from what it
was.
Ukrainians have been losing hundreds of
thousands of men as casualties we
estimate they've had 400 000 casualties
of which over 100 000 are dead. Now, very
recently, Ursula Vandelion, who is the
president of the European Union
actually admitted that the Ukrainians
had lost at least a hundred thousand
dead. The truth is that over the last several
months, the losses have been so heavy
that we think it's probably closer now
to about 120 to 125 000.
And the second part of this, of course, is
that the Europeans, and we, to a large
extent, have run out of ammunition and
equipment to send to them.
We're now talking about building new
equipment that could be sent over and
stripping out whatever we can find from
many of our own units to the point where,
frankly, if we had to fight a war in
Central Europe we'd be in trouble. We're
down to days, maybe a couple of weeks of
ammunition.
The Russians have always been accused of
running out of rockets, running out of
missiles, running out of ammunition, and
nothing could be further from the truth. They've been 'running out of tanks' and again,
nothing could be further from the
truth. The Russians now have set up a
very effective defense
while they build up for massive
offensive operations in December and
January and those are those buildups are almost
complete. We can account now, as I
pointed out in the op-ed, for about 540
000 troops, 1500 tanks, uh another three
thousand plus uh armored fighting vehicles,
hundreds of guns, a thousand rocket and
drone uh strike systems, uh hundreds of
fixed-wing aircraft and
hundreds of helicopters.The bottom line
is that the Russians are now going to
war and ukrainians are frankly on the ropes. All of their sophisticated equipment,
their rocket artillery systems, what few
they have left, are operated now by
Americans and British contractors.
They don't have the trained personnel to
do anything.
So Ukraine is really in a lot of trouble
and that's why Zelensky is working very
very hard to convince everybody that we
should give our last full measure for
Ukraine, but it's not going to work and
Ukraine is going to be destroyed and as
we've seen from the new missile strikes
the energy grid is almost completely
gone, electricity is almost totally
absent, water, food all the amenities that
make life bearable are missing, and
billions of uUkrainians are now leaving
Ukraine because they cannot live where
they are.
We should really be interested in easing
the burden on the Ukrainians and that
burden will not be eased by supplying more
arms that the Russians will simply
destroy or capture. It will be eased by
negotiations in which
the West has to concede territory to
Russia and agree to a non-NATO status, in
other words, a neutral status
for Ukraine.Nobody wants to do that, so
under the circumstances Ukraine is
doomed.Well it's really depressing
that all of the things Ukrainians have
accused the Russians of doing, are things
the Ukrainians themselves have done.
Ukrainian soldiers have actively posted
a video of Russian prisoners of War
being executed. The Russians have not executed any
prisoners of war. quite the contrary they they've actually
behaved remarkably well, and Putin has
been absolutely insistent that they not
kill civilians.
The problem is that they they were so
careful in the past
and so anxious to avoid damaged
infrastructure that people thought they
were weak. Well that's now over. They
are willing to accept collateral damage
if they could destroy ammunition and
storage points fuel systems uh
and electricity they they will do that. And that's what's happening right now,
and soon I think they'll move on to
transportation infrastructure, bridges,
roads these kinds of things to ensure
that the Ukrainians cannot resupply
themselves, and and right now they're
they're virtually at a standstill anyway.
They have no diesel. They have no fuel.
What fuel they have is going into
generators to heat buildings and homes.
So you know everybody's pledging more
and more and more but the truth is, David,
not much is arriving.
There just isn't much to send anymore,
so the the real point is, if anybody
cares about the Ukrainian people, if
people want to see Ukraine as a nation
state survive.
We we need to talk with the Russians and
no one seems to be willing to do that.

I always question the impartiality of a commentator who never bothers to mention pretty basic things like,
1. Zhirinovsky announced the precise date and time of the invasion weeks before the Kremlin even issued its demands to NATO 12 months ago, to the whole Russian Duma.
2. The FSB operation tasked with formenting dissent and enabling occupation arrived in Donetsk years ago.
Negotiate neutrality - what a frickin’ joke. Russia’s chauvinist elite has made it abundantly clear that the only reason they demand Ukraine be completely demilitarized and abandoned by Europe and America is because they want a much easier ride.
The empire-building fascist bastards around Putin spent several years unsuccessfully trying to install a Kremlin puppet leader, failed completely, and just as they thought they had a decent stab with Zelenskyy (a Russian Ukrainian who was only a few years ago a celebrity chum of the media in Russia) he turned out to be pro-Western.
A recent survey of Russian Ukrainians showed less than ten percent of them support Russia against Kyiv. Down from more than 50% ten years ago. What do they know that this idiot general doesn’t?
Russia was always going to invade Ukraine. Putin knew it, Poroshenko knew it, even the heads of other eastern European nations knew it. The Polish leader even said so, in 2008 - Russia’s actions in Chechnya and then Georgia signposted the direction of travel.
Screw “neutrality”. The west did absolutely nothing to get in the way of Revanchist fantasies until 2014 and even then the Kremlin was given the kid gloves treatment. Not one thing NATO or the USA did in the last 8 years convinced Putin that invading Ukraine would be a bad idea; before that the West bent over backwards to Not Poke The Bear and that didn’t help either.
What needs to happen is, every nation west of Russia needs to tool up to the eyeballs and the next time even one Vatnik jackboot (assuming they can be arsed to issue boots to their grunts) crosses the border, properly sack St Petersburg, bomb the Kremlin into glass, and perform some extraordinary renditions of the vodka-swilling lunatic fringe.
The problem with the Ukraine situation is, it’ll drag on for as long as Putin, Dugin, Prigozhin and their chauvinist fellow travellers remain (a) obsessed with this empire restoration dream and (b) convinced that their nuclear arsenal gives them carte blanche to realise it because the west is too scared to not back down eventually.
Even if Russia’s leaders could be talked into a ceasefire, that wouldn’t quell their ambition to conquer not just Ukraine but other countries too. Putin’s regime is like the scorpion riding on the back of the frog.
if the frog pisses it off, the scorpion will stab the frog. If the frog does everything the scorpion asks, the scorpion will stab it. Even if it’s suicide to stab the frog, the scorpion will do it.
There is no sane route to negotiation as long as Putin and co are feeding their entire nation with this lunatic quasi-religious, Hitleresque notion that they’re on some kind of mission from God to create an empire in homage to the one that collapsed over 100 years ago. Putin and co are so fervent and so drunk on this vision that they make Al Qaeda look rational.
Best post of the day! LOL
If it’s on YouTube or Facebook, it must be true. I mean, really, why are there so many Russian trolls on FR?
I just natcherly assumed the Kernel Mac had something to do with frying chicken. And I couldn’t figger out what his actual job is and who’s keeping him posted on what the Roosians actually have for hardware. So then, if he has a real job why is he blabbing on Yootoob?
Tonight this phony will be coronated by Biden and the US Congress. We live in very troubled times. The GOP has totally lost it’s bearings. Voters simply have disconnected from the reality where our political leaders are taking us.
When you’re winning you dont come begging to the White House for another $50 billion. 🙄
But, but that’s not what they’ve been saying in the media. Russian troops are surrendering to drones.
Yep.
That doesn’t make any sense.

With all due respect, I don’t know your position on Ukraine, but I ask you, is UKraine winning or is Russia winning?
If Ukraine is doing well as media and supporters believe, why was the UK Comedian-in-Chief transported here on AF-2 to ask for more money and armaments? And why re we sending our top-of-line weapons? And asked to send another $37B.
I just want to know so I can plan my fallout shelter location accordingly ;(
Have no business in Ukraine or spending a dine there..
I don't know who is winning.
Why would my opinion matter?
It's hard to believe, but I'm actually not in charge of any world affairs.
Even local affairs hardly at all, true story.
I just want to know so I can plan my fallout shelter location accordingly ;(
Both sides are speaking Russian. They ALL some gooberheads.
Let 'em go at it, less gooberheads for us to deal with.
Why? You looking for a deal?
I’d like to pick up a couple of ManPads.
You never know when Bill Gates’ private jet might show up.
You transparent gaslighters are getting more hilarious by the day.
Pretty much on same page.
Wish that scenario had happened in Feb...instead of starting the gravy train!
That doesn’t make any sense.
What is it about doing well during an ongoing war being fought in your cities and countryside that would mean no more money or weapons are needed?
