"The Russians have been steadily LOSING territory since September." Right, and it's worth keeping actual numbers in mind.
- Ukraine, at 230,000 square miles, is slightly smaller than Texas, or, if you prefer, 2/3 of the difference between Texas and California -- meaning closer to Texas than to California.
- When orcs invaded in 2014 they captured 16,000 square miles of Ukraine, or about 7%.
- When orcs re-invaded in February 2022, they took another 46,000 square miles or about 20%, making 62,000 square miles total, or 27% of Ukraine in orc hands.
- Since about April 2022, Ukrainians have fought back, liberating around 29,000 square miles, or 13% of Ukraine, which is roughly half the territory under orc control in March 2022.
- Today orcs still control about 33,000 square miles of Ukraine, about 14% of Ukraine's total area and still about double what they had in 2021.
In short, Ukrainians have had consider success lately, but still have a very long way to go.

For the record, do your numbers include the Crimea?
