A 14-year-old and 16-year-old were killed, and others injured, after a social media dispute turned into guns being drawn and shots fired between two groups Saturday evening in Democrat-run Atlanta.
The New York Times noted, “Officers responded to a report that multiple people had been shot at an apartment complex around 14 miles southwest of downtown Atlanta at about 5:09 p.m.”

A few days ago I drove through Atlanta during rush hour on i-75. I’ve driven through LA, portland, chicago, Seattle, and Louisville during rush hour. In my humble opinion, nothing compares to atlanta. What a pit.

1) **He dissed me**. Clearly, this is a Capital offense in the Black urban culture.
2) Another popular reason **He mean mugged me**
I take that that to translate to a ‘dirty look’ - and for that, you get shot.
I am baffled past writing it all off to zero impulse control or never emotionally growing up past 5 years old....
Last time I was in Hotlanta, the truck I was in got shot at for the crime of driving while white.
Yeah, glad to live in the frozen Northland - but it is getting to be that bad here with the import of gang-bangers from California....

You should get a medal for that - not even Dallas gets quite as adrenalizing as that Atlanta run.
Every day I checked the Atlanta news sites to see if the city has out-paced Chicago for the number of shootings the previous evening. Recently, the headlines mimic those of Chicago on Monday mornings. “In Atlanta 18 shot, 4 fatally” or “Two killed, 8 injured in a night-club shooting”, “Two shot at Memorial candle-light service for Aspiring Rapper Killed Last Weekend” is becoming the norm as to headlines reporting on the weekends of increasing violence.
I will add two hours to a trip to avoid going near downtown Atlanta. And, I certainly make sure my gas tank is filled anytime I head as close as 50 miles to that city.
My son and d-i-l are heading to Duluth to a Christian concert tonight (d-i-l’s Christmas present) and we are keeping the grandchildren. I’ve already sent the appropriate “mother” texts, of “Check your tires, fluids, gas gauge, etc before ya’ll head out this evening. Are your phones fully charged? Don’t forget your side-arms. Do you have a full magazine of ammo?” LOL!
The worrying of a mom is never done. My d-i-l is a sweet little thing and looks so mild and meek. You would never know she carries a pistol in an ankle-holster in those cute little boots she wears.
And it’s not due to being run by Democrats.
It certainly isn’t.
Because our friend is buying a boat in Florida it means we are going to be heading from Kentucky to Florida a few times in the next few months. The first time I went through Atlanta it was 2 in the morning. Not a problem. But the last time was hell on Earth during rush hour. I will never drive through Atlanta again. We will bypass that town unless it’s in the middle of the night.
