WWBD(what would Beto do?).

Another polar vortex is on the way. Beto would be in the corner sucking his thumb in the fetal position.

Does anyone seriously think a Democrat run agency would be efficient?

Sorry, Zsa Zsa. A liberal rag anticipates a Democrat victory in a statewide race. ehh, not happening. Right, Beto? Right, Wendy?

There was no valid reason for what happened in Texas. People lost their lives and plenty of people had their homes flooded.

Efficient - NO!!

Competent - No Chance in Hell!!

There is no such thing as an Efficient and/or Competent Democrat.

No idea why this is being posted from October. The Rat lost his election in November and the Republican won very easily 55% to 41%. This carpetbagger can now go back to Rhode Island along with his green (really red for commie) deal.

Democrat policies are the reason Texas has a power grid problem. Talk about letting the fox guard the hen house.

Warford lost by 17 points. Far worse than Beto O’Rourke, who was bolstered by a funding advantage over Abbott.

I got tired of reading the article. I surprised myself by reading a little bit past the places this guy has lived. He’s got all the right liberal hubs.

Figure younger out of college around 21/22 and at 33 your running for a statewide office in Texas.

6 different places in 12 or so years. Lots of moving around.

I’m surprised we didn’t learn that he’s the son of a single mother, raised by his rich liberal grandparents, went to private schools, raised as a commie, never knew his dad, went to college and law school but there are no records of him attending either, had various jobs where he didn’t have to show up and perform at, and all of a sudden he pops up on the political scene.

But he is right, that no one should have died during that cold snap due to not having energy. And all of that is on the shoulders of Abbott. Whether it was making sure the infrastructure was taken care of or disregarding the Fed’s and getting power plants up and running, that’s on him.

On a side note, he makes mention of Texas being an energy capital. Does he or the author mention the failure of the windmills?

Their election stealing agency seems to be pretty damn efficient...

suntzuwu:Democrat policies are the reason Texas has a power grid problem.

Not quite. Republicans have controlled Texas since 1995. Read this. Comedy of errors in Texas.

Qaz123:Does he or the author mention the failure of the windmills?

Windmills failed because Texas did not winterize them. They are working fine up in much colder Minnesota who did winterize them.

Here is why Texas has blackouts. Eror upon error upon error topped off with bad decisionns.

I think Texans have had enough of RAT jugheads “making history” and we have to pay for it.

The largest chunk of the power that went offline was natural gas-based (natural gas supplies the largest portion of the state’s energy). Milligan says that this is likely the result of some combination of weather shutting facilities down as well as gas shortages. When temperatures drop, natural gas is used both directly for furnaces and indirectly to combust and turn into electricity. That means demand was especially high right when producers were slowing down.

Interesting article. Thanks.

Error upon error upon error topped off with bad decisionns.... From my take on the article, company leadership not wanting to spend the money and keep it for themselves and any investors. Worry about the bad stuff when it happens.

Best line in it....“In all my studies and my discussions with utilities, I have found that there is a false sense of security,” says Sayanti Mukherjee

I guess that applies, not only to protect against weather extremes, but also hacking a computer system to shut down a pipeline.

“Democrat policies are the reason Texas has a power grid problem.”

Sorry to disabuse you of the idea, however....

Gov Abbott set in motion the situation when he appointed board members who did NOT live in the fabulous state of Texas.

I slept in my brand new Venue for several nights during that fiasco because I could not even begin to find a to stay. I started calling everywhere and it was from the top down price range...figured out the bottom up price ranges would be taken.

That said, I can happily sing the praises of my Venue! Purchased it on 16 Jan and it was a blessing. We were not the only ones doing that, either.

And the street I was on was out of power for the entire timeframe. There was NO rotation.

I voted for Gov Abbot this time because I knew without a doubt a dEmocrat is a vile creature by nature and a threat by design and didn’t want one in the Governor’s office. That said, Gov Abbott did Texas and it’s folks great disservice.

Not if Texas Republicans blame the Democrats’ war on energy production and consumption.
