Retiring anti-Trump Republican congressman Adam Kinzinger of Illinois used the occasion of his farewell address from Congress to slam his fellow Republicans for sheltering “the ignorant, the racist.”
Mr Kinzinger, whose popularity with his own party members tanked due to his service on the House Select Committee on the January 6 attack, decided not to run for re-election to his House seat. He and Rep Liz Cheney are the only two Republicans on the committee, and neither will be returning to Congress next year after she lost a primary challenge to a pro-Donald Trump challenger.
In his speech, Mr Kinzinger did not mince words about the direction his party has taken.
Kinzinger: The great party of Lincoln, Roosevelt and Reagan has turned its back on the ideals of liberty.. and has embraced lies.. The Republican party used to believe in a big tent.. Now, we shelter the ignorant, the racist…

I’ve been around a lot of conservatives and have never seen a supremacist/racist ever allowed in a meeting or protest. We have run off a few! Free Republic never gave them a moment! In 15 years of my blog, two of them tried to interact and we’re told “GO!”
Sadly, they register as republicans. What choice do they have? There’s not enough of them to have their own party. They could join BLM. A racist is a racist no matter what color.
As brain dead and evil as they are, they can’t even abide the modern democrat party.

This man was broken by Trump. Folks like Adam strive for what Trump has become politically-relevant. They yearn for the accomplishments Trump has secured, the true legacy he leaves behind. Trying to bring down Trump to his level is the last hand he had left to play. Adam is not relevant. Being a loud mouth RINO has got him the attention he so badly wanted but its fading fast. His 15 seconds are about over. Going to try and burn the whole party as he walks away a never been.
If Kinzinger were any dumber, had an even lower IQ, or was even less enlightened he would be a single-celled amoeba.
I hope your retirement from Congress will be as miserable as you made this country during your time in office.
