The body of a 23-year-old woman was found on Wednesday (Dec 14) in the ocean off Australia after she fell overboard from a cruise ship.
Crew members aboard the Pacific Explorer reported the passenger missing at about midnight, when the ship was around 70km out to sea from Cape Jaffa in South Australia state.
The Australian Maritime Safety Authority then launched a rescue plane overnight that was joined by two helicopters at daybreak. Searchers said they found the unnamed woman's body in the water just before 7am.

Probably multiple jabbed folk that die suddenly on ships too.
Video must have caught something.
I can’t believe there will be usable video in the dark.
Aren’t all of the decks lit up?
Just came back on one. 10 days. Beautiful night ocean with moon light reflection. No light on any balconies unless the cabin occupant turns it on. We were on deck 7 and could see 6, 8 and 9. No lights.
“Man overboard!”—a shout that I never ever want to hear when I’m on a boat.
Gotcha, thanks.
Sounds like you had a good time.
Eat too much?
Drink too much?
:)
Serial killer. Cruises are rige with them.
Rige=rife
Think with the brain in your head, not the one you sit on.
The 23 year old fell from the ship. Not died on the ship.
The balcony railing in cabins is not very high. If one is drunk, and tries to look down over the railing, one can lose balance and fall.
The ships move at 20-25 knots. In dark time of day, by the time they discover you are missing, the ship would be gone 20-30-40 miles away.
I was recently on a cruise, when a young girl fell overboard. She was drunk. She was very lucky because it was full moon night and the ship was purposely going slow due to being ahead of schedule. Her boy friend saw her fall, and threw a life saver devidce to her, and the ships crew began search immediately and they found her.
If someone falls overboard and you don’t know them how do you know what pronoun to use?
Sloppy/ Drunk
How did the cruise ship get in Australia in the first place? I assume it was the impact with the ground that killed her.
I'd rather hear it on a boat than while in the water......
The number of simple news drone stories has exploded. We are being told of every skinned knee and cute cat story from around the globe. All of it vapid and void of any speak of the agenda what so ever.
From what folks say they are designed not to be able to fall off of.
Alcohol can be a problem...
I would guess booze, tossed, or both…
